Pretty dire. My sister in law used to live in Kingston and the only place we could park when we went to her place was in the Sainsbury's car park and that was strictly limited. I'm planning on driving what with the tube strike, I'll probably park up around Hammersmith and walk or get the bus. This map shows all the local parking restrictions, there seems to be options.

That's a pretty scary map, I've found this

I also last time I was at QPR I seem to recall a new shopping development at white city, this may have parking and bus connections.

Does anyone why coaches are leaving at 1pm nearly 7 hours before kick off. Would love
To go but don't finish until 2.30 and lad doesn't finish school until 2.45

Cus of the tube strike, might just make kick off

At the moment I'm parking up in Kingston and getting the bus to Putney Bridge, anybody know a decent pub? I may just go in The Eight Bells in Fulham High Street.

Edit, I got my mate a ticket and he can't get the time off work, so I have a spare if anybody needs one.

You do know it's next Tuesday night don't you??

2ndtenorblade, please, don't let it be so! Do you mean Fulham Palace Road mate? If so you're not far from the ground, it's just that you've got a week to wait until the game's on, take care UTB

I do like to get to a pub fairly near the ground and get there early ;) Maybe Fulham Palace Road, It's near the tube station.

My map is for tightwads like me looking for free parking :)

Westfield isn't a bad shout, looks like it's £4 to park and car park open until 3am. 220 bus then takes you to near the ground.

If you are driving from up North I imagine this is a good idea. Says only 40min on bus/walking from Shepherd's Bush to Craven Cottage. If tube is up the creek though, I reckon 40 min will probably be more like an hour.

Ticket update on official site says around 900 sold so far and the club are requesting the additional allocation from Fulham. I assume this would be the entire end behind the goal, they sometimes have a "neutral" section.

I knock the club a fair bit at times when i feel that things could be handled better from a fans point of view. However credit where credit is due a tremendous gesture. I am starting to feel that under this new ownership we might actually be in good hands moving forward.

It looks like tube strike has been put back to start at 9pm which will make it a lot easier getting to Craven Cottage http://www.lbc.co.uk/rmt-changes-time-of-48-hour-tube-strikes-85128

Getting back will still be difficult on public transport I would imagine the best bet will be overground from Putney back into central London.

Now I've just got to hope I can get tickets for me and the kids when they go on general sale.

I think we've had to concede defeat thanks to the tube strike and go on the coach. We were planning to drive down and have a day out in that London but we've been scuppered.
Oh I wouldn't worry too much I'm sure there will be a few scabs driving trains.

Free travel was provided under previous regimes as well on a couple of occasions.

Correct philb, the planned strike will begin at 9pm on the Tuesday evening which will make things a lot easier for both sets of fans travelling to Fulham.
Getting home should be interesting but who cares if we win? ;)

Has anybody got any ideas on how to get home after the match / back to the car or train?

Last train from Panny is 22:30, there's a 23:30 from LKX on the ECML...

Billy, look at post #34, I put details of last trains from St Pancras to Sheffield, hope that helps. As for getting to St Pancras, if you can get a taxi full (about 4-5 if the driver's ok with this), it might cost anywhere between £30-50 depending on traffic.

I think my best bet is to take the car to Peterborough and catch the train to Kings Cross. There are a few options around 11pm or thereabouts. The train at 11.30 only takes 47 mins to get to Peterborough!

Kings Cross is about 8 miles from Craven Cottage. I guess a taxi is the only option? Not sure what this will cost? The train is heading for Donny so might be a chance to team up for the cab to the station.

Another option is to head for Stevenage in the car and take the same route into London via Kings Cross.

Where there is a will there is a way.

Cheers mate. Me Dad is working in London on Tuesday, so we're both staying over after the game. I'm currently weighing up whether to train it down to London, and arrive in time for a few before hand, or go with the free bus from the Lane. Was going for the latter with the tube strike, but now it's only in the evening, I'm back on the fence again.

You can also get the number 10 bus from Kings Cross/St Pancras to Hammersmith and then it's a 20/30 minute walk to the ground.

Another option back to St Pancras/Kings X might be overground train from Putney to Waterloo. 10 min walk to Blackfriars then First Capital Connect to St Pancras which is only a couple of stops.. Probably take about an hour and all covered by a travelcard.

£30 return train journey from East Midst Parkway. Fortunately staying in London with a mate I'll be at the game with. Relieved the strike doesn't start until 9 as I bloody hate travelling in London as it is, let alone with the hassle of that.

Anyone know how many we have sold so far? Surely if there is demand for more than 1,500 they will put on more-especially as the away fans sit with the 'neutrals'.
