Bloody hell the next 46 hours are gonna drag! I honestly don't think i've been this excited since Christmas eves in the early 90s when i still thought Santa was real.

With their predicament and our superb team spirit and top drawer manager, i just pray everything falls into place on friday night. I know a derby never seems to go with the odds but I'm feeing that early season confidence come back and these signings are a perfectly timed for morale.

I felt confident going to elland road earlier in the season and i think we're getting our mojo back again - i think we'll be just fine come 10 oclock on friday night!

Not looking forward to it myself. We're on a poor run at the minute and they've just got a new manager.
We're both on poor runs of form. Which is weird when you consider the common idea that 'the form book goes out the window for a derby'... so we'll both play well? Not sure how that will work really.

They're pretty much a completely unknown entity right now thanks to the new manager and having a few players out injured. We're more predictable in terms of our play, but we have turned in some bad performances recently. I'm sure Wilder will have us up for this one though. I'd say there's many reasons to be confident, but still a few reasons to be nervous as well.

Phew....read the title to say excrement at first.

I’m getting more and more nervous. Not because I’m worried about them doing us, more that we haven’t really had much luck lately and I have a sick feeling we will pretty much batter them and end up being done by a bit of luck or a referee decision...like Bristol all over again.

I've just got a horrible feeling we're going to see another Bolton and they're going to nick it.

I know we're all a bit hyped up for the future now with the new signings and all that, but barring a possible sub appearance, I doubt they'll make much of an impact.
Too many changes would possibly do more harm than good, so we're probs looking at the same pre-hype team against a wounded animal after the 4-2 drubbing and piss-taking since.
It could well be a very close game.
Then again, we could f***** muller them!!

The Bolton performance is the worry. Hopefully, it was as much tiredness as anything else.

Even if the new signings don’t play, they give us a lift, perfect timing of the announcements. Nervous is an understatement though. Love Basham to bag one

The Bolton game is a positive factor for me. We won't play like that and lose 2 home games in a row.

Our last game before the last derby was the 1-0 home defeat to Norwich.

It's all part of the plan.

The last home derby under the lights was a superlative atmosphere, & Friday's guaranteed to be even better with the Wilder effect.

And, if we were able to come back from 2-0 down under Blackwell, then we can do the same & more under Wilder, should (perish the thought) needs be.

Genuinely looking forward to it.

Potentially its the best chance we've got compared to quite a few more recent derbies - so over to Chris, Alan and the lads to put the Pigs to the sword

Whatever happens a Wilder team will fight to the end

Sick of seeing all these comments about form going out the window and the derby favouring the underdog.

You'll have to remind me of all these matches where Wednesday were shit but came to Bramall Lane and turned us over.

I hate derbies. I can't be rational about anything. I will think they are going to score every attack.

Saying that, it's the whole point of being a fan. Fuck the prem and all that - this is the biggest game we have

Stop worrying. This team will turn up. We beat their first team so we can beat their reserves.

Bramall Lane under the lights? We'll shit em.

My thinking really. that's the way I'd do it if I were them.

1st goal as ever will be critical

Settle down everybody.
Luhukay is infamous for defending and like it or not Wednesday have some competent goalscorers in their squad. This guy isn't going to make it pretty and if it's anything like some of the other under dogs did with their clogging tumblers it's not going to be nice.

Nah i don't think it will with the way we setup. Wednesday may sit back but i still think there could be plenty of goals and a see saw game like september

We are going into the derby as the better team. We can do the double over them, when was the last time they did that to us?
Don't be arrogant but be positive. We are going to give them some shit at work on Monday.

There's no foregone conclusion with a Sheffield derby, we've proved that many times in the past when the pigs have been shouting their mouths off. I'm getting very nervous with the number of our fans thinking we're going to win easily, and for that matter the number of their fans who think they'll get nowt. I'd feel much better if the massive were telling us all how easy it's going to be for them.

That said, come on Blades let's f***ing do um, the f***ing piggy c***s.
