Magnificent Heckingbottom spirit yet again today. When the, chips are down, Stuart and Hecky have got it. Great state of affairs, excellent management yet again Paul. .
I always declred Paul the best manager since he himself took over.
Telling thee now....

If we can get to the break 0-0 we can go on to win any game. Why though? They come out with a rocket up their arse why can't we start like that.

We discussed this in the Rotherham match, we started the 1st half in a half hearted too.

However I think the players are knackered and prefer to keep it solid first half without trying too hard.
Then we save our energy and go for it second half, think its just a case of the players subconsciously pacing themselves.

I’d agree with the ‘keep it solid’ bit, but the difference today was just that they missed the easy chance that we presented them with. Rotherham scored theirs.

Was so confident we’d beat Rotherham on Tuesday
and was so confident we’d lose today away at Cardiff, with a Stoke like performance.

Just shows..you can’t rely on United for anything ha ha,

McAtee turned that game on it's head. He linked play back to front and had us working as a proper team again. With him on the ball we felt able to move up the pitch as a cohesive unit and also got telling balls in between and behind their back line. He got Billy involved and took pressure off Illy who'd previously been crowded out by 4 or 5 minders wherever he went.

Let's not forget the striker coach Lester although he doesn't have much left to work with
