Can't be anyone who will ever manage rivals like United/Wednesday, Sunderland/Newcastle and Villa/Birmingham again.

Max Lowe…?

Steve Bruce now has time to write more quality novels. Oh, and attend more weddings, obvs.

At Scunthorpe today for FA Cup v Kings Lynn , walked into stand saw a fan wearing Scunthorpe shirt , the name and number on back was
* 9 Cammack *
Cool. Brings back memories for me as in the early 80s I went to loads of Scunny matches at The Old Show Ground and Cammack was the main man and was always near the top of the goal scoring charts.

I'm sure he averaged a goal every other game over 150 to 200 games for Scunny, so he knew where the net was.

Probably still the Scunny all time top scorer as I don't think Andy Flounders surpassed him.

Hamza Choudhury played for Bangladesh again today in their Asia Cup qualifier in Hong Kong. This time the boot was on the other foot as Bangladesh snatched a late 1-1 draw after HK had been reduced to 10 men. Alas for Hamza and his teammates, Bangladesh’s failure to win eliminated them from qualifying.

The crowd of over 45,000 at the new Kai Tak stadium is the biggest ever to see a competitive game in Hong Kong.

India are also out after losing at home to Singapore - they’ve been wretched - and the winners of next month’s Hong Kong Singapore clash will win the group, with a draw taking qualification to the final group games.

We are all aware that good old JLT scored an own goal and got himself sent off, again, playing for Birmingham against Hull. It may have escaped some that Regan Slater also scored a rare goal for Hull in the same game.

Yes so now for Hull this season they have had goals from McBurnie, Lundstram, Egan , Slater ,,,,,,,,,and,,,,,,, Robinson ,,,I must admit to being surprised that Robinson had never been sent off playing for us ,, although Birmingham knew what they were getting because he should have been sent off in our League Cup game how he was speaking to the linesman ,,, also a good header from Harry Maguire to give Manchester United the win at Liverpool ,, also at one stage last Saturday ( actually after our game had finished) David Brooks was top of the league with Bournemouth,,

Down at Nottingham Forest I could find no mention of any injury where James McAtee was left out of the squad v Chelsea in what proved to be Ange last game as manager , McAtee back as unused sub in their European tie where MGW scored ,,,Nick Montgomery also left Forest when Ange left ,,, while over in Barnsley, David McGoldrick scored a hat-trick against Manchester United under 21 ,, while every goal is a good goal his 3rd , the hat-trick goal is worth seeing
