Makes no odds to us, we need to be winning games of football for us to start getting face on about things like that.

Wouldn't lose too much sleep about it.

Bent as fuck this league but we knew that anyway:

Not sure if you know this but all professional football is bent because it’s a business constantly looking for angles to succeed and loopholes.

Put yourself in the position of the PL, the most successful, most watched, richest league in world football. You want all the best clubs to play in it however the government are threatening to appoint independent regulators because they think the PL allow clubs too much freedom to overspend.

So it’s essential that the PL start flexing some muscle and show they are willing to punish overspending clubs with points deductions. However they don’t want to effect promotion/ relegation off the pitch. So the task is to punish Everton as much as possible but ultimately they still manage to stay up.

Football is a business so anyone with business acumen would prefer Everton and their fantastic new stadium in your league instead of Luton. It’s not corrupt it’s common sense and normal. Also when it comes to appeals there’s nearly always a compromise solution.

Simon Jordan on TalkSPORT predicted many weeks ago that he thinks the 10 points would be reduced to 6 points, then with the 2nd transgression there would later be another points deduction, which he said would be 4 points taking it back up to 10 points again, assuming that losing 10 points is enough to make them likely to still stay up.

It's killed any tiny hope we had. Forest now 4th bottom and on target for 36ish points. We would need to win 8 of the last 12 to better that...

If what your saying is true, it is textbook corruption. No idea how you can suggest otherwise just because the corruption has business benefits.

12 games left now we are 11 adrift instead of 8 seems totally fair that great shall we just play 34 in Championship next season

But it also sets up the guidelines for what they will get, along wtih Forest, for the further breaches. There will be more interest in the written outcome.

Financial Fair Play is a joke. If they break the rules, the punishment should stand. It is an Independent Tribunal that decides the punishment, not the Premier league. Automatic relegation for a breach, would straightend this clubs up.
They might employ better accountants

And in that 12 we have Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Man U.

I’m not sure winning 8 from 12 is even possible.

I would much rather Everton go down over forest. Never seen a fanbase more entitled than them lot

The premier league is corrupt according to them even though they are a founding member, have never been relegated and voted on every rule change

Very brief look at the BBC so could be wrong but the appeal court seems to be saying the commission was wrong to punish them for lying!!!! ( re new stadium debt) l mean if a historically big club can’t lie to the football authorities and get away with it, what’s the world coming too?

Will this mean that the 'benchmark' of 6 point deduction has been set in stone or will it be the circus of 10 points and then ok well reduce it to 6 when you appeal. Bit of a mess isn't it?

Can't believe people on here are still trying to work out if we can stay up. We could sign both Ronaldos and Kevin Keegan and ask Boris to park his big red Brexit bus in front of the goal and we're still going down. Just go and enjoy your Summer and come back all enthused about Millwall at the Lane next season. Bye

I hope that we stay up due to our own abilities and then tell the authorities that they can stuff their Premier league and let's go and enjoy a season in the Championship.

Bit of a circus,as you say

In my experience they're not even the most entitled fanbase that wears blue, plays out of the North West and is currently in the Premier League
