everton , is it just me , they sent us down in 94 when Hans Segers weetabix dives let everton come from 2 down to win 3-2
last night 2 down not close to looking capable of pulling it back suddenly get 3 again to save themselves
Patrick Viera was fuming over some of the decisions
but dont think on the first half showing theyd pull it back at all without some help from somewhere

Thought the same BTL.
So much so I watch the 3 min highlights this morning to see if there were any dodgy goalkeeping shenanigans.
I'm not convinced there were, although the middle attempt looked pretty feeble.
The reason must lay somewhere else then!

Great comeback last night.

Fair play to 'em.

At least Vieira got to kick one of the Everton fans who accosted him on the pitch at the end.

Chelsea,Man Utd and Leicester all in the great Everton conspiracy.

Do people realise how pathetic it sounds when insinuating bribes have taken place or there is a conspiracy to keep sides in a division.
Generally yes. But I would bare my are on the own hall steps if there wasn't money changing hands in 1994.

Segers at Everton
Fashanu at Wimbledon

If you were at Plough Lane for our match, you'd think the same.

Where does Ayew avoiding a red card for an over-the-top challenge, and then scoring a goal moments later, fit into this conspiracy to keep Everton in the Premier League?

It's definitely happened before. There are hundreds of millions of quid at stake. How can you be so certain it will never happen again?

Yes
I remember my first boss when I was a kid.

He said "Wherever money changes hands, there's a fiddle"

Definitely happened in 1994, Segers, Fashanu, Grobelaar, plus all the manager bungs

But anyone watching the Everton v Chelsea game could have no complaints, it was a miracle Everton won that game.

Chelsea murdered them but everything was either brilliantly saved by the goalie, or it just hit him and stayed out

Whatever it takes to send leeds “biggest club in Yorkshire” united back down

I can't stand the club. Decades of pent-up bitterness from living in the shadow of LFC, one of the worst grounds in the top two divisions and yes, some really dodgy goings on when it matters most. I would much rather Leeds stay up then them.

I want Everton to go down every year simply because they seemed to have marginally avoided it by pure luck (or something else) for most of my lifetime.

I have to disagree about their ground though, Goodison is one of my favourites.

The ref did too imho.

Only reason he didn't give a penalty for the second hand ball.
