Even if he did, had we had held on for a draw we'd have stayed up. No cheating at Stamford Bridge, we were as per the architect of our downfall.
yes your right of course and we were 2 - 1 up at stamford bridge that day but it doesnt alter the fact that segars dived over stuart weak effort late on on top of that nicholls indicates in his book that if wimbledon had won that day they would have been lucky to get out of goodison that day

People have always asked me, why do you hate Edmonds? It makes me laugh. Ha! I don’t hate Edmonds. I don’t give a shit about Edmonds. I hate the things he does, sure. I hate the way he behaves. I hate his personality and his appearance. But hate Edmonds himself ? No, sir. Wouldn’t give him the satisfaction.
Phil? Noel? Blackadder? I suspect Noel, as that makes the most sense and is totally agreeable.

Was it Mark and Lard who used to call him Noel Tidybeard. 🤣

Illy right at the end must be wondering what he's let himself in for.
Would anyone take Maupay on loan? Not likely to feature much but Wilder was a fan, bit of a shit house but could offer a alternative to Moore as a lone striker.

As funny as it watching this, because it's Everton, the clubs looks f@cked due to the owners and not the players.

You need to think Liverpool.

It wasn't a simple as us or them.

IIRC, 4 other sdes could have gone down that day. At half time, we were several positions clear, but in the end we blew it,

Not entirely uncoincidiental that Bruce Grobelar named Segers in his court trial.

Yeah it wasn’t cheating by Everton…..just very lucky over many years to scrape survival.

But Wimbledon were allegedly dodgy for years … so who knows what really went on with a few of their players over a few seasons. The away game that a few have referred to with Fashanu was simply unbelievable…...
The penalty Limpar got was cheating.

Player was nowhere near him when he went to ground and the ref swallowed it hook, line and sinker.

Yeah that’s grim. When the fans turn like that. It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion.

Actually makes me think our fans have been pretty patient over the years!

Must be horrible to play in that environment. But football can change very quickly. Takeover, good derby result, young lad coming through the ranks and ripping it up, unknown signing turning out to be class etc etc.

Never understand this line of thought. If we held on for a draw at Chelsea then it's Ipswich who go down and are they then the architect of their own downfall for drawing at blackburn?

Imagine as well, that’s after just three games.

They must really feel the writing is on the wall.

I feel a bit for Sean Dyche. He’s one of those managers that does well under limited resources and you see not given a chance at a so-called Big Club. He finally gets his break and it’s been a shitshow from above since he walked in the door.

He’s up 30m on transfers and if Chelsea follow up their interest in DCL you can see him having to replace him with a fraction of what they may receive.

I think they are due a Relegation for past fortune and the overall poor running but it’s a pity for Dyche.

Just to make it more Blades related. If Everton continue as they've started our 104 goals conceded record will soon disappear.

(Wolves and Ipswich are also outsiders).

Keeping up the 'relative to the Blades theme' - have we a £30million (that's what happens when demand exceeds supply) defender that could help out their causes?

Very odd fan base. Remember them chasing Anthony Gordon’s car down the street a couple of years ago, too. After they lost a home game.
They barricaded all the streets around Goodison park and stopped all the players from leaving until they had a 'word' with them

I get the frustration but what is swearing in a train station going to achieve?

Doomed completely. Those players will not want to play at home knowing there are fans like that ready to stick the boot in and threaten their safety, after making mistakes. What an awful situation, Heckingbottom told Ndiaye it was a mistake, he’s gone from our golden boy to relegation threatened Everton substitute. I’d take him back in a heartbeat, at least our fanbase aren’t that desperately disgusting

I'll be as picky as I want thanks. Based on your opinion, a thread could therefore be opened about numerous clubs in the league who have our ex players?
Everton are a shit stain of a club and have absolutely nowt to do with Sheffield United so shouldn't be in General Blades chat.
And I'll post where i want to thank you and if you don't like it don't read it! Quid pro quo

I think we were 15th at one point! Possibly half time, can't quite remember.

I do remember the lime green text on teletext below the result:

Sheffield United are relegated.

It still haunts me to this day.

I was there at Chelsea, sat behind Sean Bean, that coach trip home will haunt me forever.

Watched them last night,Villa far superior.Calvert Lewis is a good centre forward, needs to be elsewhere. Illiman, hardly involved, looked out of position again, didn’t have the happy face as when he was with us .

Playing him out wide left is a crime against football

Yep,also Harrison was more or less left back throughout the match. A double crime.
