Back in the real world, the last thing anyone not buying a season ticket should feel is shame.
The shame for driving thousands of loyal supporters away belongs somewhere else.

quite right deano, i renewed this morning,because i aint no glory hunter,(fat chance of that with this un-ambitious board) i too cant believe what has happened to my club.but i will still go, and i will take the shit from my work colleagues, telling me the blades are shit and i will retort with,how would you know ? you only sit in your fuckin armchair with your hands on your fat belly and look at the telly all day and get sores on yer arses,whereas i pay my money to go and watch that gives me the right to say they are shit,but then again i am not under the thumb am i :thumbup:

I didn't say you had to buy a ST to be a Blade - but if you can afford it, are in good health, live within a reasonable distance of the Lane and are a fan - you should go to as many games as you can. I wouldn't expect you to agree of course. Slagging off everything to do with the Blades & bigging up the Pigs is what you do best.

I renewed on Thursday. If you truly love your club and can afford it etc... then now is the time to get behind them. Next season is going to be even tougher than this one and I for one will be there being the proverbial 12th man.

Over 35 years of putting the Blades first before my family, before work, before holidays, before jobs, BEFORE EVERYTHING! Not anymore. If money were no object then I would have renewed and made up some silly reason to justify it, but no wage rise for 2 years, no idea if i will have a job in a years time, 3 kids at home.
Sorry this time logic has to win and I will not be renewing it's nearly £500 I cannot afford, so I will pick and choose and take advantage of the special offers the club will have to put on to even half fill the ground!!!!!
And the only thing my club can tell me is that I will not be a "True Blade" because I will not be at the Lane.
