$152m is a little over £100m. Is that about the same as McCabes personal wealth? I thought I'd read somewhere he was worth £300m

Not a huge amount when in put into context of running a football club and I bet he aint happy with already spunking more than a tenth of his personal wealth already without seeing any reward for his efforts

Let's keep Brian Deane a blade legend and the respect and admiration continue. All managers eventually get the sack . It would spoil a great memory with the shit and abuse he would get when things were not going well at the lane.

So...joining the dots and speculating wildly...I guess this could have been the reported 'bust up' in Jan, with Princey wanting to sack Adkins and McCabe wanting to keep him ( seeing the pound notes go up in flames of compensation)

Mebbe they sorted it out and this bloke is coming in, at the behest of Princey...if that's the case, then the ideal scenario would be, Princey gets his men in, chucks a load of cash at it and buys McCabe out...

..or mebbe McCabe won and Princey is getting narky...not sure things are as rosy in the garden between the two owners as McCabe made out recently...

This, despite doing a commendable job he's had a lot of money to spend. It looks a lot better the Wednesday fans because they've been dreadful for 16 years.
 
Would he actually come here? He's managed the Turkish national team and several other top clubs in Turkey. I know that he has contacts with the Prince's people but is would he come to a third division football club in Britain?
 
I'm on the fence with this.
Maybe Sunjihi and his post about a month ago had some fat around the edges.
The princes view is probably the definitive against mcabe albeit that at the signing of Adkins needed promo this season -from all horses mouths.
I wouldn't be surprised if this happens.

Yeah £100m is feck all in football terms when you have the likes of Man City spending more than that on Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne in a single transfer window.

I doubt £100m would even get you into the top 50 rich list of English football club owners.

I'd personally keep Adkins, but if we go up I couldn't care less who is manager.

Does he speak English? What does he know about League One? Why would a manager who has managed at international level, won a Turkish league title and managed in the Champions League want to manage in League One?

Basically, at the moment I just can't see this being true, but as we all know anything can happen at United!

This guy has won a Turkish league title & managed the national team. hardly a shit cv.

He cant do any worse than Adkins has done.

Id like Adkins to stay & give it another season, but if he has to go then id like it done quickly so the new man can identify signings.

Whatever happens the OOC players need to be moved on no matter what.

Wonder the Board has not yet considered Sir David. Well known personalitywith a fat contacts list. To be honest I am sick and fucking tired of our club changing managers as they have. Clearly this has not worked For fucks sake let Adkins have next season with new lads and fewer wankers.
 
I'm hoping Kazarre13 is going to give us a few thoughts on this one. I'd like to know:

– who is he?
– is he more of a keep it out of one end sort or a stick it in the other sort? I'm guessing from the translation (and anagram...), possibly not the former?
– are we doomed?
 

I'm not quite in the Adkins out camp, but I must admit this is a pretty exciting prospect and my appetite for next season would increase ten fold if this went ahead, especially if he was backed well in the transfer market.

Buy good attacking players and go for the jugular every game. It's about time we had that sort of excitement and some value for money.
