The only way our club will ever be successful is to hold on to our best players. Why not offer him a new contract, rather than saying oh we will have to sell him.
What a great idea that could be…

But no, never mind, we’ve got a seasoned pro in his 30’s from Rangers who will take his place.

Majority of League clubs( including Premier League clubs) have to sell to survive or to reinvest. We will no doubt be in discussions with our better young players to sign extended contracts. If these players get offered more lucrative contracts elsewhere, and won't sign a new contract, we will rightly sell. That is not a lack.of ambition, that is the reality of football.

Look what has has happened at Hillsborough by not selling players

His agent will not let him sign a new contract here, no chance .. ditto Seriki

While he's here because he won't be next season.
Agreed. We have to sell during the summer and AB will be our MVP. Just hope that we can get 20m+ for him 🙏

There's a real possibility that Brooks, Seriki and Hamer all leave this summer, and i'm concerned about where the replacements will come from.

We may just have one last throw of the dice next season and that would involve keeping the right hand side, and Gus, I can live with selling peck if we can keep hold of Riedwald

He came out of yesterday's Shoutbox well with "Cooper shit""Bindon Shit" etc. etc.

The worst Andre received was "Wilder change it and give Arblaster and Brooks a fucking bollocking".
Crikey, that's almost akin to being awarded the Ballon d'Or coming from Shoutbox.

If he’s a smart lad he’ll be here next season, run his contract down and bag himself a big signing on fee.

Seriki too.

His agent cannot stop him signing a new contract here should he wish to. He can, and will however advise him if he can get a better deal elsewhere.......and also for himself in to the bargain. Unfortunately, for the likes of us and many non premier league clubs this is just how it is.

He seems to have found the consistency which maybe he has lacked before - I guess that comes with age and experience. Seriki down the right has been a massive benefactor compared to previous years.

Getting lots of attention now, be very surprised if he's still here next season

He is but it's a risk that either a newly promoted side or a stable Premier League side can take. He is only 22 but we are in a stronger position now ownership wise where we won't take the first offer like under the McCabe days. If you look at N'Diaye he moved to Marseille for a rumoured £20million, no reason that with the Premier League war chests that they have if we don't go up and we need to sell it shouldn't be for less unless very good add ons and sell ons etc

My first thoughts were that Brooks might be a bit short of where PL clubs aim their sights, but then there's the minimum requirement for home trained players for clubs qualifying for Europe.

Any club sneaking in, somewhat unexpectedly, and with potential pressure to meet their domestic quota would be daft not to look at him. Bournemouth or Brentford maybe?

David brooks. Got him on a new contract and sold him for a decent chunk of change months later. Reinvested and built a stronger side that went up and stayed up.That's success.

Always been a big defender of brooks
Could always see the potential there and surprised so many couldn't
Just needed games and experience
Remember Brian Deane learning at a similar rate
It doesn't just happens they have to play games
He's not even playing in his best position

Deano did not learn at the same rate as Brooks has. Deano came in and started smashing it from day one.
Very poor comparison IMO.

Wilder praised both again this weekend, and said how well they’d been doing. Hardly seen a comment on it on here of course by those claiming he management of the pair was based on something other than football.
