Enda & George appreciation thread

Whilst i think on - i would just like to show my appreciation for these two .

Both aren't the players or the twosome they once were and they may still have roles to play in our future , especially George - but oh my word , what a pair they were.

There was a time (Champs prom season and 1st in Prem) when i honestly thought they were at least equal to the two Liverpool boys , they were utterly fantastic to watch and complemented our style of play perfectly. Teams feared them but couldn't stop them. They were amazing .

We have seen over recent times both get a bit of stick due to their contributions and that may be fair? - but - they are one of the best pairings i have ever seen , in their hey day , and I've been going through the turnstile for 52 years.

Whatever happens Enda and George , thank you for some of the best times - genuinely

I hope, that if fit and if we are still in the auto spots, Stevens, Fleck Possibly Bash and Billy, all get a game so we can show our appreciation of them as it’ll probably be their last game for us.

Bash has got another year on his contract I think. Unless we’ve got a seriously wealthy new owner who wants to do a Forest, I think we’ll keep him as backup.

George in games where we want to be a little more solid - like the games we have coming up against those in 10th and above.

Enda as a reserve - and as it seems we aren't likely to sign anyone, first change for Lowe (until RND is back).

Writing George off way too early.....as others have said when we play the better teams he would be the preferred option. Next season he might be ever-present!

Enda has been off since covid started. George is still a force to be reckoned with and I think George is a better defender than Bogle. However, we need Bogle’s goals and attacking play which over the years has become part of a RB’s repertoire.

However, I share the sentiment of the thread. Both been great servants to the club and I thank them for helping to lift us off the bottom of League One and into the Prem, the best period of supporting the Blades for me.

My mistake I thought Bash was out of contract. If not then he will very definitely have a part to play next season regardless of league. As will furious George.
