I probably take football to heart way too much but had tears in my eyes yesterday watching us play and win. Every season i go with my dad and have done since i was a young un and it's just great supporting United at the minute. I cried as a young lad the wigan game in 07 and yesterday was such a happy day.
Anyone else get emotional through blades? :p

I had a little tear in the eye before the match started, don't mind admitting it.

I had car so planned to have a few when I got home, but the realised it was Sunday and before I knew it was 7pm and the Sunday night jitters started. Boo to Sunday games.

Same here. When the Greasy Chip Butty boomed out in the First half. The Kop and South Stand Fantastic. So loud. Couldn't finish the song as i filled up. Emotional in my old age.

Absolutely! My young one wasn't quite born for the Wigan game. His formative years coincided with some of the worst football I have ever seen at the lane and knowing the hurt and pain that following the blades brings makes you question yourself. In the 3 - 1 cup defeat to Preston he asked 'why do our players keep passing to the Preston players Daddy'? 'Because we are crap' I replied! I remember his tears when we experienced loss after loss and it dawned on him that we were indeed crap! Nevertheless he continued to follow the blades and rejected the lure of his glory hunting mates at school who follow Liverpool, City, Man United, Spurs and Chelsea. Then along came Chris Wilder! So yesterday was very special indeed. To watch our team walk out in the Premier League once more and then to sing 'Greasy Chip Butty' felt like redemption, affirmation and the most joyous celebration rolled into one. As I looked at my young lad of eleven years belting out our anthem with pride and hope, all that pain in the lower leagues was suddenly worth it and probably made it all the more special and yes, I then realized that tears were streaming down my face!

I've seen Lundstram's goal 43 times and I still fill up watching him celebrate!

I'm still very happy for Lunny, watching the highlights again this morning and seeing his delight in his celebration.

My daughter was born two hours after the Wigan game, she has been a season ticket holder for three years now and yesterday was her first Prem game. I remember going to the Man U match on the first day of the Premier League with my dad and yesterday it was emotional for us both, took me all the way back to that day.

Seeing my 15 year old football mad daughter enjoying these amazing days makes me very emotional. I had a few tears when we got home yesterday.

Similar experience for me. Living in NI it can be very difficult to follow an unfashionable club like United when all the other kids support the bigger high profile clubs. My 9 yr old was adamant a couple of years ago that we would make the premier League in no time. I couldn't quite convince him that thats not the blades way. The last few years have been fantastic and to take him to see us in the premier League was truly special.

My lads first game was Blackburn in the premier league. The one with all the pens and we drew.

He was 5 then and this summer he's left school, we both got goosebumps when Robinson screamed at the crowd in front of the kop and the roar went up..

Please tell me somebody got a photo of that..

Start of the game, the video montage and audio...then the GCB...all became too much and although I managed to hold the tears off I was glad for having the sunglasses! The voice crackled and went though, couldn’t join in the song.
Last time I had that was wembley against Hull....before that Arsenal cup semi at Old Trafford. It doesn’t hit often but is a uncontrollable emotional reaction.
