A trio of Premiership clubs are reportedly chasing Belgium international Emile Mpenza.
The striker currently plays for Al Rayyan in Qatar, but is thought to be heading back to Europe in January.
Reports have claimed that he would be allowed to leave Al Rayyan for free and that has alerted Sheffield United, Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers.
Mpenza's agent Rachid Tajmout has claimed that the three teams have communicated an interest in the forward.
"Emile would like to play in England and has friends there," Tajmout told the Sunday Mirror.
