Egan seems to fall over unchallenged on a regular basis, I don’t know how he would have coped with the pre-Desso pitch! Seriously though, it could have cost us goals on several occasions - why don’t modern footballers have different length studs depending on the weather conditions, like they used to when I was a lad?

I think they do, but it’s the boots that change rather than the studs (?)

I actually think modern pitches make it worse tbh. They’re watered to the point where they’re piss wet through as well these days.

Egan falling over is much less concerning than Basham’s latest comedy dive attempt followed by his even more comedy attempt to get back up. He was clear into the box as well in a great crossing position 🤦🏻‍♂️

Often modified from original design too these days.
I can’t understand how they can slip so often!? Alongside the queues for a pint at half time, it was the thing I moaned about the most, back in the days we could go into the ground.
