According to a tweet from Andy Giddings Ive seen via Facebook (dont have Twatter) Wolves have refused permission for him to play in the First Round Cup game on Sunday

May be planning a sale or a recall in January. Better get to the front of the queue...

The signing of EEL was always for him to get first team football away from Wolves. It wasn't because of lack of form, it was regarding getting games after injury.

Unfortunately for us, if he does well, then Wolves will have him back in January and offer him the contract he wants.

There is nothing we can do to get him other than wait and see. Wolves already sniffing around him as he is getting rave reviews. Hence no FA Cup appearance for us !!!

Wolves were taken over by Chinese investors over the summer and signed 13 players including Ivan Cavaleiro for a club record £7m. I just can't see them being overly bothered about recalling a young defender who's on-loan in the league below.

They're covering themselves until their new manager is appointed, he will then have the option to play him in those vital FA Cup matches if he does decide to recall him.

Apparently it's going to be Paul Lambert. I'd rather it not be, because he's one who regularly recruits from the lower leagues so he wouldn't be against recalling someone from L1. It will be a miracle for him if he does get that job though.

He is 23 years old...... how old do you have to be before we can stop pulling the " he is still a young lad" excuse? They obviously see something in him to send him out on loan, otherwise just sell him.

If they were not bothered about him, he would have been given the go ahead to play in the FA Cup this season. What it is saying is that they may recall him in January and do not want him cup tied. There is no other reason for this.

I saw Leon Clarke today at Birmingham New St he usually travels with EEL and he wasn't there so I assumed this was the case.

I heard rumours a deal was in place to keep EEL but that was before the Wolves manager got the boot.

A loan is a doubled edged sword... doesn't do well we would probably have a good chance to keep him... do well and the chances reduce.

The best way to look at a loan is; if the player does well for us over a specified period then it has been a success

Anything after that is a bonus

Larky . All wolves are doing is exercising due diligence .

Basically they are leaving ALL options open for whoever the new manager is .

I wouldn't read much into this decision other than that .

I wouldn't have selected him anyway.

We can worry about what'll happen to him in January in January, till then let's just keep him fit and fresh.

Didn't we have Wilson in that position before EEL arrived and he did ok
So can't see it being a problem
