It did make me wonder a few years ago when they started putting sand on the pitch, they said it was for drainage but it was clearly Saudi sand so that the camels wouldn't get home sick.

I work in Adult Social Care, one of my service users is from a Muslim family who used to live in Abu Dhabi. His dad is a big football fan, and he was friends with the manager of the local club. Well apparently when Warnock was in charge, United came to play against this team (Can anyone shed some light on this?) and he brought a set of knives as a gift. They were made of Sheffield steel and had the SUFC badge on them. The manager of this team gave them to my service user's dad. I was tempted to ask him to give me one of them, but they're apparently still at their house in Abu Dhabi.
