Oldham, Brentford and Walsall? Three straightforward wins against poor opposition. If we couldn't get 9 points out them, we'd certainly be looking at the bottom 4 rather than top 6.

What?

Oldham beat Scunny away last night?
Brentford have won their two other opening games?
Walsall were unbeaten apart from the match against us?

Oh.

Oh.

and last night was anything but easy, apart from perhaps we could quite easily have lost that one!

Walsall will do well this season if they put that amount of effort in every game. We were well lucky to win. They hit the post twice and pulled some great saves out of Simmo.

Lots of people Bob. I've seen it on here, and it's pretty much the mantra among Wednesdayites. I'd comment on their ultra 'tough' start, but I'd like to ignore them as much as humanly possible until October...

Edit: and, to be fair, it wasn't a bad start for us on appearances. Oldham and Walsall were tipped to be mid to lower table this season, and Brentford have a new manager to bed in.
