With the Southend match being moved, we're left with a free Bank Holiday Monday and there are rumours that we're due a nice Easter so what better way to spend the day than aimlessly booting a football round an old golf course?
We've had a couple of trips out to the Footgolf Course in High Melton before. Previous threads can be found here:
S24SU FootGolf Trip - Friday 3rd April
The Inaugural S24SU Footgolf trip - Sunday 31st Aug
The general consensus was that it was a good laugh even though most of us were crap
There's currently good availability on all three days so please choose all the days you are available in the above poll and we'll get it booked next weekend. I propose a tee-off time of 10am but this is open to discussion.
C&Ped from the old threads:
Everyone is welcome and consider this an open invite to all S24SU members... I'd appreciate if people would vote in the poll to register their interest (We need to know ASAP who is serious about turning up) and please add any comments by replying.

What is FootGolf?
It's what it sounds really, a combination of football and golf. Players play with a size 5 football and essentially have to kick the ball in the hole in as few kicks as possible. Similar to golf, the courses feature bunkers, trees, water hazards etc.
We're new to the sport, even those who had a go last year, it should be a good laugh regardless of scores!
You can read more over at http://www.ukfootgolf.com/ and a quick search of Youtube for FootGolf will give you some videos.
What do I have to wear?
No football boots or blades (the footwear kind) are allowed, players should wear trainers or astroturf boots. With the High Melton course being the national centre and therefore owned by the UK FootGolf association, moulded studs are also allowed on this course.
It is recommended that players wear a collared shirt and either plain shorts or trousers at all courses. As a sport they promote the traditional golfing attire – long socks, long shorts, collared shirts and a traditional golf hat which is apparently proving very popular with players, but they don't enforce this for regular play and we're pretty much welcome to wear what we are comfortable playing in.
We will get it booked as soon as we have enough people confirmed to make it worthwhile. In terms of costs, assuming that the majority who have expressed an interest will come along, I'd imagine we're looking at around £7.50 per person for 18 holes, certainly under £10 each.
In terms of transport, I'll leave it open to what people want to do. I'm sure there are enough drivers amongst us to make sure everyone can get there and back.
