From a pretty good source.......

Hendo up front on his own.

Sharp, Little and Evans on bench.

They did mention that the new wingers were on the bench?? Reid?

Sharp pissed off??

Don't shoot the messenger!

:)

Hendo? Wasnt expecting that. Thought it was going to be Evans upfront. Hmm. We shall see!

I'd all but counted Hendo out of this one to be honest but if we are to go with one up front then he would definately be my preferred choice. I hope we get to see at least a cameo from the three million pound man.

At least there is some width. The danger is if we lose an early goal then its Plan B

Looks a good line up to me Asaba, although I think Bromby will come in for Walker due to his lack of time with the squad, oh and I expect Bunn to play. Defensively I think we'll be ok, going forward I'll be pissed off if people blame Henderson for 'being shit' if he doesn't get the support from the likes of Cotts, Reid, Howard and to a lesser degree Quinny & Monts.

I'd imagine most people will complain at the manager and his tactics if we look shit, rather than the players themselves. Quinn excepted, that is - but that's because it's a universal truth that he is shit.

Fair point with Bromby, but I'd take Walker who's had pre season with England coaches than Bromby who's had pre season with sam ellis!

I'm quite layed back about tonights game - towards the end of last season, every point counted, and the matches were intense, and every one meant something - even matches that werent our own eg Preston vs Birmingham....I'm simply going to enjoy watching the Blades tonight, safe knowing theres the rest of the season to rectify things if they go a bit pear shaped!

what about Keith Treacy?

I'd like to see Keith Treacy get a shot tonight. Saw him pre-season at lincoln and b4 he got taken off looked best player on pitch, seemed to have a good eye for passes, runs at the defence and dint have a bad end product.

thats just my opinion anyway most people will no doubt think diff.

Me too.

But then if we had beaten Brum at St Andrews this time last season the extra 3 points (6 point switch in essence) would have seen us promoted ahead of them.

Cue the debate on causality.

I certainly agree, but I always pick the team on what I think it's going to be, not what i want it to be.

He definitely showed more at Lincoln than he did at bury... his cut inside was unlucky not to result in a goal.

And welcome to the forum!

thanx.

i think a bit of work and graft he can become a good prosepct and hopefully the start of the season will mean he can put in more performances like the lincoln game. and i liked to see his commitment, saying that he would like to stay at the lane longer than his 6 month loan.

Anyone got any thoughts as to whether Hendo and Ched are likely to play together at all this season? never seen much of Ched myself, so i'm not sure what sort of forward he is. Is he a big "knock it up to" centre forward himself, or does he tend to play off another big lad??

From what I gather Ched can play on his own up front but is less of a target man and prefers to run the channels.

Have heard a rumour that both France and Treacy are playing the wings tonight. Personally I think this is a good move because they're arguably not as attack minded as Reid and Cotts they will help defensively against Midlesboroughs inevitable early onslaught

Can we not play 442? Or does he always have to start either Howard or Quinn ffs.

And wheres williamson?

Walker best be on his game tonight cause he's gonna be facing adam johnson.
