QPR may refuse to sell us Luke Freeman (again) in January.
If so, who else is a similar and financially possible player?

Bowen? Dack? Cantwell? Eze? Otzumer? Windass? P. Hernandez? Howson?

Absolutely zero chance of Dack.

Powell at Wigan may be an option.

Zero chance of Eze, Dack or Freeman. Oztumer done fuck all for Bolton. Windass is crap. Hernandez is a Leeds first teaser. Howson is a centre mid and more defensive. Don’t know Cantwell.

We need to get a Prem loan or go overseas. Unless we can pluck a player from the lower leagues.

It has to be Kieran Dowell, on loan. He's affordable and was scabs best player last season by a mile. Shocked he hasn't moved..

The ideal one's would be Freeman or Sawyers but neither will be in our budget this window I would imagine.

The other's to consider really off the top of my head are, Dowell, Marcus Maddison, Swift & two who fit the type of player we seem to go for because injury layoffs have stalled their careers a bit. Judge & Jonathan Williams.

New contract for Freeman means nothing, apart from QPR being able to ask for more money, exactly what we did with Brooks.

There were the Jota rumours and Birmingham will have to sell in all likelihood

We've been linked with Jota and Luke Freeman. All of these players will be very difficult to obtain which is why 11.5 million was peanuts for Brooks (copyright nopigfansintown, summer 2018). Any quality striker signings will be the same.

Not sure why we have no chance of Dack, surely he has ambitions, if we're top 6 in Jan and can improve his weekly wage then why not?
Spurs were/are interested (as well as the ones in the link above).

If it's not in our budget when we're pushing this close to a promotion charge it never will be. Would be a joke. Sawyers wouldn't even cost that much with Brentford's transfer policy.

Judge and Swift would be good signings. Dowell on loan too.

Whilst McGoldrick was missing chance after chance last week and then dropped deeper when Washington replaced Duffy, the thought struck me that perhaps he might be the ready made answer to the additional #10 issue. It would therefore place a greater onus on recruiting someone that can stick the ball in the net but may allow resources to be concentrated rather than have to be split across two positions. With Hogan only playing a bit-part at Villa and very unlikely to feature more especially whilst Abraham is scoring regularly, I wonder if CW is planning anther attempt to get him.

Duffy alternatives?

He's already on the books - it's McGoldrick. He already comes/drops deep even when he is supposed to be up top. We need someone to play on the shoulder of the last man.

We have limited money and what money we have should be used for 2 centre forwards - players that make a difference.

A replacement for Duffy isn't needed now.

I'd like to think that we have already highlighted who we want and plans are in place.

Abraham could be recalled by Chelsea in January apparently.

Our other striker plays on the last man, whether that be Sharp, Clarke or Washington.

McGoldrick has some of the qualities of Duffy, but not all. His crossing, creativity and defensive play won't be of the same standard.

We couldn;t get them to sell us Lenihan when we were in the league above. I very much doubt they'd cave in to Dack,
Because we wanted him for less than they thought he was worth. It wasn't because they had the club power to refuse, obviously Lenihan would've wanted to come to the league above on higher wages.

If AFC Wimbledon bid £30mill for Fleck, we'd sell him.

Do you think we'd bid for Dack what they'd value him at? I highly doubt it.

Unpopular opinion but I think Duffy has been well below his usual standard for a few weeks/Months now I’d go for that dowell , Sears would be a good option or someone form Brentford like that canos or judge

I'm not sure what they value him at.

That article suggest £20mill, but like Villa valuing Grealish at £42mill, they'd sell for significantly less than that amount.

Agree that we won't be paying anything close to that figure though.

Only way we'll be getting players like dack is it we take a risk on them im pretty sure we could have signed dack freeman and ollie watkins for pittance when they were in league one

Blackburn apparently turned down 15 million for him from West Brom on deadline day. No way they'd lower the price in the January window.

The guy is miles outside our reach. Miles.
