I'm really sorry @FatPaul, I apologise not only to you for school yard insults, but to the entire LGBTQ+ community for my right wing attitude.

Is that what you meant to type? If so, not only do you owe me an apology, but also a thank you.

What I'm thanking you for is the endless proof of your stupidity and inability to concede that you fail to admit just how wrong you are...take a bow fatty, you've taken gormlessness to levels that were considered unachievable on here.

That was a bit uncalled for.

MOTM Today ❤️

After the support I gave from the stand today.....I actually identify as person of the match, and shall be expecting my trophy in the post...!!!😆

Doyle my MOTM, even though Ndiaye had a brilliant game, Doyle was stand out.

Tonge, Brown, Jagielka hit some important goals from outside the box. Move over Doyle's unmerciful, high-pressure blast joins them.

Defo being sarcastic, would say Chunkey was having a senior moment but that would be ageist.
Don't think on my behalf, MOTM has been the saying since football began, not got a problem with WOTM, don't confuse the two different genders don't mix them up

Player of the Match is used in both men’s and women’s football. It’s not intended to offend anyone, but is a bit more inclusive. Women playing football isn’t a bad thing and doesn’t happen for the purpose of annoying men.

Whisper it quietly, but a major women’s tournament was hosted at the Lane last summer, and SUFC Women also play at BDTBL.

Not that I think PotM has anything to do with non-binary people (as seems to be suggested in this thread), but being non-binary is a valid thing. Being supportive of women’s football, and gender minorities, is not being ‘woke’, it’s just being a decent human.

So the WSL is non inclusive?

It's exactly people like you that my response is meant to trigger. MAN of the match is what it is, I don't give a fuck what year it is
I prefer ‘Them of the match’, much more inclusive and friendly. Shows that we are taking inclusivity seriously as a club.

Whisper it quietly, but everyone accepts women’s football (didn’t they do us proud), and that they could have woman of the match. Many of us don’t understand what problem they’ve fixed.

There’s no slight in women’s football being made by arguing against the ridiculous (to many) move to player of the match.

I didn’t know everyone accepts women’s football, that’s fantastic news.

And not as fanciful as the idea that objecting to “person of the match” in men’s football is somehow anti women. :)
