Doyle or Norwood

Let's be fair to Norwood, he's a player who struggles to get up to speed with the pace of games when he comes off the bench. Since Doyle has taken over Norwood ould have seen 3 reds for horribly mistimed tackles. He's better starting but it's Doyle's to lose now unless Norwood takes City apart.

Mobility is massive in the PL. In season one in the Prem we got away with Norwood due to the effectiveness of the overlapping centre backs. In season two they'd gone and you saw Norwood's limitations on an orthodox 3-5-2. His lack of press resistance and mobility. The wide centre backs was a cheat code.

He's fine in the Champ and will be for a few years yet. He's never had mobility and he reads the play defensively better than he ever has. His stats for interceptions and ball recoveries are very high. What you want ideally are two mobile partners even at Champ level to compensate for his weaknesses. We haven't had them since we came down. All our midfielders strengths lay elsewhere.

Doyle was mediocre at best until he was placed in the Norwood role. He now looks a different player.
The key to getting the best out of Norwood is who you put alongside him.

If he played with someone athletic like Billing, he’d be good for another few years.

Yeah, in a three. I don't think he can play me in a two with any partner in the PL. Maybe in the Champ. The balance of our midfield has been wrong for the last two seasons. We get away with it because they have so much.individual quality. The current set up is more balanced.

There are some huge question marks hanging over our midfield this summer - I hope that PH has recognised that if we get to the PL , we desperately need more athleticism in there.
Of course he knows! It depends on the budget we will be getting

We need a replacement if in the Prem, would have suggested Billing from Bournemouth if they got relegated but looks unlikely now

Looks like this takeover might not be happening, it's taking ages. however, if we get promoted surely someone else could be interested. not very often a premier league club is for sale. I know Man u and Liverpool are up for sale, by the greedy Yankee cunts who own those clubs.
