Interviewed on FF rooting for them, well it's half a Blades side

I liked Doyle while he was here. I know people will disagree because they're clamouring for a centre half, but I still maintain that an adequate replacement for Doyle should be our top priority.

Too many times this season teams have either waltzed through the centre of our midfield unchallenged, leaving the defence outnumbered, or easily dispossessed Hammond, leaving them with a clear run at the defence.

The significant thing for me in the interview was the Portsmouth kit in the dressing rooms.

Sat next to Doyle was Mcnulty - whilst we can comment all we want about Doyle's football ability, it seems as though the wily old manager in Paul Cook has given Doyle the job of "fathering" Mcnuts whilst down there.

Some of us think, that is what is what is needed with Mcnulty - he needs his sad (Saturday night) head sorting out, but there is footballer who scores goals.

I for one hope he comes back at season end - sorted out and in a more fit frame of mind. We may have to thank Michael Doyle for doing something after leaving us. I'd like to think, even with Doyle - once a Blade, always a Blade.
