Digesting the events of the last few days and its amazing to think that Lenners was knocked down by most of us (myself included) but hasn't it bitten us on the backside? Trevor Birch, was honest, we're heading backwards on and off the field.

I was thinking about this the other day, but who took over the role of Dooley? I don't mean the Promotion Party Starter dancing and singing on the pitch. I mean the real, OldSkool (just for 10 formerly TEN) voice of football. The man that McCabe and the board seemed to turn to on football matters.

When we had Warnock in charge, he was very close to Dooley. For me Dooley always seemed to be the man making football decisions, fighting the corner for the team manager.

Obviously Birch's and Turry's role were very different, but Birch is a business man, Dooley was a football man.

Its just a thought/ theory really, but i'm struggling to think where the power has gone from the team. Nobody seems to fight the corner for the footballing side anymore
