Wilder in, Wilder out, bring back Hecky, 4231 or 352, Cannon, American owners. I've completely lost it with everything. The whole thing makes me so sad, even depressed. Is there any point in going anymore? I'm at that point.
Said it before, but this season became a write off for me as soon as we appointed Selles. I actually lost interest as soon as we finished outside the autos as there was no rescuing the promotion.
It’s a strange feeling but this season, after such a strong season last year, almost against the odds, was always going to be hard
We were going to lose players, we needed a mini rebuild and of course the impact of losing the play offs, with the season being extended, physically players had a shorter summer and mentally some will struggle to get their heads right.
We needed quick action in recruiting. Yes we know that sides leave it late to do business but to not sign permanent deals for key players until we’d already started the season is poor. Doing things earlier would send a message
Changing the manager was a risk, it’s not to say we had to keep Wilder, sensibility would perhaps suggest he had the best knowledge to fix things. Big summer, hit the ground running.
In the background, COH could’ve been manoeuvring, planning and rebuilding the club from the inside, with a view to eventually replacing Wilder with their culture change.
Now we’re probably set back for half a season with wilder having to work with what he has until Jan. It gives time for him to work with the owners to fix things properly and do things properly.
The owners have so much work to do to get the off field things right. Turn us into a real premier league outfit that players want to come to because we’re ahead of the game.
Wilder will need time and patience
Fans will also need to be patient now
And COH have to start working hard
