Next season in the 3rd Division will be another dose of same owd ! , and we could be relegated again !
I'll be watching the results and praying McCabe fooks off.

Maybe, maybe not. We'll still be Blades though.

I think we will struggle to make much of an impact next season. Mid table is best we can hope for becuase the squad will need so many changes to it.
7-8 players who are loans to go back.
3-4 who are perms that shouldn't be at the Lane.
Huge rebuilding job - no cash - no investment - we will struggle like the piggies.
Every team will look at the fixtures to find out when they are coming to Bramall Lane becasue they will want to play in a premiership stadium.
We will struggle at home because of that - just like Southampton did for starters, Charlton have and the piggies also have.

Do you really think that Hillsborough is the reason why Wednesday have struggled???

Sheffield Wednesday like Southampton and Charlton have struggled because they are full of journeyman pros who have long since lost any fire in their bellies and are eking out their final pay days (Clinton Morrison anyone!!!).

If we go down that route and buy a clutch of Championship squad players in the belief that they will stroll League One then yes we will struggle too.

However, if we back our Academy and sign players of a similar ilk to Philliskirk we will be back up in a max of 2 seasons.

Let not rule out the right journeyman pros. A few strong characters like the Chief, Joe Bolton and Chris Morgan are exactly what we need if we are going to have a higher proportion of youngsters.

I think it'll be in the 2nd season when we manage to put a promotion challenge together.

If the current vibes coming from the club are going to be carried forward - bin the loanee journeymen and bring through the Youngsters then I think we'll do ok, but they'll make mistakes and have to learn quickly.

So with a few experienced players who aren't afraid to lead us mixed in - like players like McCall and Morgan then we'll get a decent blend.

Like BladeHearts said, back the Academy and young eager players and we'll do ok

I agree totally.
Id like to see Savage signed for next season as he is the type of experienced pro we need.

I dont disagree. The key thing is that its only a few and that their experience is used to do a specifc role.

Using Chris Morgan as an example he should be the perfect player for Harry Maguire develop alongside. But the key thing is that with Morgan you know that you are getting 100% commitment and someone who is a genuine role model.

They may be shit Blades but they're my shit Blades and for £25 a fortnight I will keep watching thanks

Heyup Swollen .............. I've got all my campaign medals wi the Blades just like you ....... this time i'm bowing out.....i'll watch a game or two but thats it for me till the cnut has gone.
