Did anyone hear Paul walker just after news this morning, talking about going to playoffs
We could be there and possibly donny but he thinks they will win the league. Do you think Danny
Upset him with his interview last week

You might be right, because I don't think he knows that much about football when you listen
To some of rubbish he comes out with

Danny upsets me most weeks but that's another story.

Well to be fair to Paul, he can probably just see a team winning it's games. That may change but at the moment I don't see Doncaster being caught.

Stevenage away is going to be our Oldham of last year and I am going to be sat in the sun at Wembley wondering why the fuck I said I would go this time.

I think the three defining games of this season are:

Hartlepool (H). A game-changer. After that, it's easy to imagine the away manager's pep-talk. Fortress Bramall Lane???

Stevenage (A). That result looks more chilling with each passing game. They'd lost 13 out of 16 before beating us. Since then, have sacked their manager and continue to lose. We didn't just lose, we were battered.

Tranmere (A). Use your imagination...

Either that or Mr Ryan has drawn him up some vouchers :)

Which defenders were injured , and which 2 got sent off v stevenage must have missed that one . As well as throwing that lead away .

1. Donny

6. Walsall

Play off semi 1st leg: Tranmere 0-0 Sheff Utd

Harsh, but true.

If we don't go up automatically I don't think we'll get to the play off final this year.

I think it's looking more and more like another season in Div 1 to be honest, but that said, I'd rather we were pushing for promotion in this league than fighting relegation in the Championship.

nice to see some blades high on optimism
weve really blown it , 2 points off 2nd with only 3 games in hand on some
not even man utd could pull that back
well if they had our fans

It's not really about being optimistic or pessimistic, more about the constant failure grinding one down, it's the blades way.

Not been a Blade that long then have you? game in hand hey, fuck me where did I hear that again

Thing is Dublin, it would have been better to get 2 players sent off, at least you knew they might be trying. We have too many chiefs and when we need the indians due to injury and suspension we will be caught out because they haven't been given any game time.

fuck me you lot are miserable. all we need to do is win some games. 9 games left, 6 wins will probably get 2nd place. 5 probably be enough if it includes brentford and swindon. basically, 5 home games left...win em and were up! probably!

Any neutral would look at the table and come up with a similar assumption. Look at them skanking results when they need to, look at us off the back of a humping and a fixture pile up. Points on the board is the most important thing right now. I think they will win the league as well by the way. Swindon? Bournemouth? Brentford? Yeovil? Us? Its a right old battle to the death so you know how that will end then don't you?

Not interested in being in the play offs Wilson surely knows now its got to be a to two finish.
Even the top six in this division are dire.
Anybody see the Tranmere Stevenage game how bad was that and before anybody says owt I know Stevenage battered us.
No good playing it safe now Danny lad you need to be posetive and attack because failure and you're down the road for sure lets start Friday with Tranmere.

7 games to go and they are 5 points clear. One might it would take a spectacular, SUFC style fuck up, for Donny not to win it. However teams around do have a game in hand and Donny have to play Swindon, Tranmere and Brentford (as well as travel to Coventry and Crewe). Far from over yet, but Donny have showed little signs of faltering sign we allowed them to overtake us a few months back.

I still think Donny will be 3rd those 3 games might just kill them plus if Swinon get this chap lets hope they go up Auto.

I am sticking with what i have said for a few weeks

1, Swindon
2, Bournemouth
3, Donny
4, Sufc
5, Tranmere
6, Brentford

Playoffs
Sufc v tranmere
Donny v Brentford

Final
SUFC V Donny

I still have faith, despite the evidence to the contrary:

1 SUFC
2 STFC
3 AFCB
4 DRFC
5 BFC
6 YTFC
7 TRFC
8 WFC

Play-off final Bournemouth v Brentford

Don't worry too much about Stevenage, I think DW was trying to change the formation around, which in future means that we will lose most of the away games but win most of the home ones.
And as we have 6 of the last 9 games at home, let's hope I'm right.
If I keep saying it enough I'm bound to believe it.
PS Why are Bournemouth so highly rated, I'm not sure they will finish in the top 6.

holy shit, I have just smashed my head on the desk. We played 4-5-1 and was got battered 4-0. Please tell how this is going to improve our home form?

The Stevenage débâcle should provide yet another reminder to the players that they can't just turn up and win in this division, much as the Hartlepool game should have done that.

I expect a reaction on Friday and am hopeful that will translate into a comfortable win but we'll need to win the individual battles on the pitch for that to happen. Too many players lost out to their opponents at Stevenage.

I'd also hope that Wilson has taken the team down to Blackpool beach during the week to practice - Tranmere's pitch looks like it's 80% sand.

the blades are going up.
the blades are going up.
and now youre gonna believe us.

Isn't this the making of another footballing gods joke? A bizarrely high amount of games for the last month of the season; I'm sure there'll be something else they add before the inevitable screw up. The kop roof deattaches itself when we play Preston, meaning we have to forfeit and we end up in the play offs? We haven't had that one yet

I am a footballing atheist.

If we fuck it up again it will be down to us not being good enough again.

Nowt to do with any Gods.
