You can only imagine the debate around tonight as my mum came out with this corker.

But anyway, has anybody ever run so much and caused so much bother for a defence as our matty (as in tattie)? We should find a way to link him up to the national grid. He'd keep Sheffield going for days with the energy he uses up. Good lad Matey, well done.

Yes and No. All that harassment is great and the way he won the penalty from a dire pass was amazing but...often chasing down the keeper under instructions means we win the ball, but then the bloke we're meant to be passing to is either knackered, miles offside or both and we can't do anything with it.

Not sure it's a great tactic.

What a finish though - if he meant to just deflect it into the corner.

Love him for the workrate and results he gives, runs is legs off every game.

As for cult status right now i would say he is nearly on par with Brayford.

We have enough Scottish players without you linking one of our English players to a Scottish town. They pronounce that Scun!! - Scone

as in 'giving the dog a ....'

Not sure. Best ask Foxy - he was besotted with the feller ;)
He came on and scored in a league game against Bury and looked a very tidy young player. After that I had big hopes for him and was hugely disappointed he didn't get more opportunities at first team level.

Davies was great too but if you had Done as a lone striker he'd make a decent partnership all on his own.

Maximum effort + knack for success = potential cult figure

If he gets the winner in the PO Final.....he'll go down in folklore!

Potato farls, some soda bread (also off the griddle), because sometimes there just can't be enough carbohydrate to go with a proper fry-up. My Gran's breakfasts... started me on the road that made me the (substantial) man I am today.

My Gran did too HM.
We had them cold for tea too, with jam, I preferred her Scotch Pancakes on the Griddle.
Great Memories!
True Scots.

Fortunately or unfortunately she died when I was quite young, so I never got out of my BMI range.
