I'd guess he thinks the arselickers and abusive fuckwits on Twitter and facebook are a better representation of our fanbase Robbie. However we can blame him all we want , even he would expect the bunch of wasters on show today might actually put a shift in for their wages.

It was the worst season I watched them. I felt we were heading the same way two years ago and was busy telling everybody that "this is the worst United team I've seen since the shower that got us relegated to the Fourth Division".

And then there was THAT Cup run and the post New Year turnaround and all of a sudden my near-on Worst Season Ever became one of my favourites.

I'm concerned right now, I really am.

He has been known to look at this forum. I feel embarassed being a Blade reading some of the vitriol directed at him and McCabe. They want promotion as much as anyone if not more. By Tuesday we may have managed to forget about another shitty weekend game. It will be on Phipps' and McCabe's minds all week.

It's devastating for everyone that we're not up there challenging for auto but I'm not blaming our manager or chairmen, not so far this season. They've brought in Sharp, Sammon, Hammond and Edgar, and have been unlucky not to get others. If anyone's to blame it's the players.

I think Phipps gets too much stick to be honest. Yes he is the Chairman but he admits he knows little about football and I imagine the big decisions aren't made by him. In a way I feel a little sorry for him because he seems to have been pushed out there as the mouth piece for the club when the real power surely lays with McCabe and co. I actually think he does a lot of good on the PR side of things but my gut feeling is that he is pretty much helpless when it comes to the major problems at the club. I could be wrong of course but he seems more a spokesman than someone who makes the big decisions
