Does anyone feel positive after today's game?

Its not a loss and we've played some really decent football, the first Bradford goal was unlucky and ref didnt help us either.

In saying that I feel slightly negative this week with United, I think the frustration of not bringing players in and not winning another game has put me on a downer.

Im hoping with the possible arrival of new players this week and an FA cup game against a poor premier league team it puts me back in a positive frame of mind. Im sure better times are round the corner..... just wish they was here now! UTB

You can call us unlucky but leading the last 3 games and not winning any of them is not bad luck.

We do not handle adversity very well.

Last thing Nigel said before the team came out for the second half. Keep it tight for 15 minutes and don't give them a sniff

its 2 points lost imo & more importantly a chance to put 4 points distance from the bottom 4.

We desperately need an experienced CB, a midfield general & goal scorer.

Going forward it was the best we have looked for a while. We have to play both Flynn and Murphy home and away. Baxter was excellent too. But defensively - including at keeper - we were poor. One point from three games is relegation form. We desperately need to strengthen. A goalscorer (although Paynter held it up better than Porter ever does), an athletic midfielder, a quick central defender and a keeper! We aren't great at full back either but I think we can get by.

Coady should be playing infront of McGinn. That solves one
Hill moved to CB solves another

We look so much more balanced when they both play. Flynn needs to stay on the right and not get moved to nullify an opposition winger.

(although Paynter held it up better than Porter ever does),

We also played better balls into him, notice how as soon as Porter came on they went for the easy option of lofting it in his general direction? (and when I say general, sometimes it was 30 yards away from him). We should have kept to the same, which would magically also make Porter look a little better and give him more chance of doing something.

Perhaps....but I was pleasantly surprised by Paynter. He looked far more comfortable than Porter. His control was better - no bouncing off his shins! - and he didn't have Porter's annoying habit of constantly straying offside

Porter is a shocking substitute option if you need a goal. Imagine going down to the last few games and it's all on the line. 0-0 with 15 minutes left. Who've you got to bring on? Porter. Great. Nearly as bad as bringing Ironside on to get a goal. We have to sign a striker, don't we? Make it so.

I'm feeling really low after that game, that was 3 points for the taking and failed. First half was class everyone put in a shift, but the second half ..... nothing good apart from Flynn and Murphy, flynn who was clearly motm gave everything today shame the rest let us down again.
We need to be winning games not drawing I'm fearing the worst when we play that well and still can't win.

I know what you mean. All that attacking pressure. Flynn was rampant down the right. Reality is that we've taken 1 point from last 3 games. Worrying.

Mixed feelings. Some really good football but a definite lack of what the pundits call match craft.

It's tricky - Clough is trying to get a more positive team together, but it comes with risks.

The trouble with the constantly dropping of points at home is who do we pick up points up against ?. Peterboro, Brentford, Rotherham, Wolves, Orient & Coventry will all yield 0 points, which leaves the likes of Shrewsbury, Bristol City, Stevenage as our only hope of salvation at home. Our record at home this season against the so called lesser sides hardly fills one with confidence, I give you Gillingham, Colchester, Oldham etc. Can't believe all the praise heaped on the team today, yes we played well enough but to throw a 2 goal lead away against an average bunch of thugs was spineless. With no signings coming in before today, after two poor results, I suppose it was destined that we would get no more than a point against Bradford if we were lucky. Sleepwalking our way to relegation.

Usually after losing a 2-0 lead at HT I would feel gutted after the game. Angry, frustrated at something but I don't feel that today. I enjoyed the game and at 2-2 it still felt like we would go on and win it but it wasn't to be.

It used to feel like Flynn and Murphy were holding us back but now I feel like we're just missing that quality striker to get himself in the right positions and finish off the crosses from their excellent (of late) wing play.

To answer your title question.....in some ways yes and in others no.

With every passing game I become more convinced we have the right manager but with every passing week I become less inclined to believe he will be back suitably and given the tools to keep us in the division.

Both centre backs were solid today. We dominated midfield.

id hardly call letting slip a two goal lead at home against a team that has sold their star striker a solid performance from defence.

we need someone who can challenge & give competition to harry & collins. If you think otherwise then your an idiot.

I said to my mate at half time, two isn't enough, how true. I felt that we just aren't good enough. We are missing some quality in all areas. I can see us easily being relegated if we don't strengthen. One point out of nine is relegation stuff.

We are assured that we have a Prince. Rather like the knight on a white horse galloping, to not only save us, but to pick us up and take us upward to dine at the top table

His horse must be lame 'cos if he doesn't invest soon, we will be left at the starting gate by more ambitious owners. Nigel the jockey will be sacked and we will be horse meat.

Or maybe all the hoohah surrounding the "Prince" is just a load of old horse shit. Seriously, is the silly twat going to sit idly by as we meander towards division 4 or is he going to do owt about it? It doesn't bode well for the future this, sounds like we've found an Arabian McCabe.

Today was two points lost that we couldn't afford to lose, we have a fourth division squad and another bloke (Prince Charming) at the helm who came in with a fanfare but seems totally indifferent to our current plight. Best fans in football for me, so why do these wankers constantly promise us the earth and end up taking the piss.

Would you like to name your odds? I'll gladly cover the bet.

Now we know a better word for that, don't we? :)

It wasn't because of a striker that we didn't win yesterday. It was because again we didn't come out for the second half. To concede 2 goals in the first 15 minutes is fucking criminal.

The other team is always going to come out strong, you just hold to what you have and weight to get another foothold in the match.

New striker needed urgently. Hopefully Paynter will deliver but we can't afford that gamble with such shit alternatives. After a striker we need a keeper. Longs lack of any progress in commanding the area is now alarming.

On a positive note, well done to the wingers and to Clough for changing them. I've given Flynn some deserved stick, but hes so much more positive these days.

No, please do. That's what wagers are all about. Backing your judgement. Alternatively, you might want to have a think before making ridiculous predictions? Just trying to be helpful.
