You can also tell N'Diaye isn't as loved now at OM as he was here, or that Berge isn't as at home at Burnley as he was here, and that McAtee really valued being here, and that Doyle would probably want to be here if he absolutely could.

A few of the graphics of the league tables are way out. Says we were 4th on 26 points when we played Norwich away in April. Makes the achievement of going up even greater 😆
United turned over Blackburn, Reading, and Burnley, when every one of them were in top position. I think it's Reading at home where the video shows United in first, Reading 4th.
Not true. If its not Reading clip, then Blackburn.

I was actually quite sad watching it when I heard Illy, Sander and Tommy talking in such a joyful way.

100% agree, they aren't the accounts of people willingly forcing their way out of the door.
Sadly, in the case of Illi, they turned out to be exactly that. Sander and Doyle, for me, were victims of circumstance, but Sander in particular had contributed to these circumstances significantly by not signing a new contract. I think Doyle was the one who will be most disappointed by events, but who knows what the future might hold if Wolves go down this season.
The documentary is certainly a bittersweet watch.

Yeha I noticed that, they got it wrong way round. In the home game it said we had 72 points.

I'm not buying that with Illi. I think it was more of a case of Marseille giving him a now or never ultimatum at the 11th hour and his agent pushing for the move. You don't change your mind at the very last second like that unless you're very conflicted over the decision. Perversely it was the unexpected nature of his decision that completely derailed us in the transfer window and sent us scrambling.

I'm still watching this is in brief installments in our house. Yes. I know...

What I will say is, on this account of their season, the players have monster mentalities. We expect the same owd, same owd, Sheffield United fucking it up, because we're bruised and battered Blades, with a lifetime of those experiences. But this lot, come across as so self-assured, composed, totally back themselves and one another. The examples of them being comfortable to see our narrow leads, in games with the chasing pack closing the gap. At the time, many of us were bricking it, but they believed. Monumental.

That's credit to every last one of them, and the coaching staff. Up the chuffing Blades.
Yeah, but they're not scarred by Mark Stein, Tevez, multiple play-off failures, multiple cup failures etc.

I’m not saying that there was no pressure, or that he wasn’t conflicted, but ultimately it was Illiman who decided he was leaving us.

Watched it now mate, sadly Berge talks like he's a proper blade but suppose Burnley was too hard to turn down...
This is the one I dont get

I understand Berge wanting to wait till the season end, at which point he either -
stays with us, an increased wage and signing on fee akin to a transfer value
Or he goes, takes a big signing on fee as a free agent, and an increase in wages

What I dont understand is why Burnley, he must have the polar opposite if Ndaiye's agent

I always fancied him going to somewhere like Fiorentina, or Villareal, or Fulham or Palace here

Hes gone from playing infront of 30,000 fans, to 20,000 - swapping one relegation battle for another, and is now benched

Ultimately, Im sure he could have agreed a contract extension that included a relegation clause at a agreed fixed fee

If we go down he activates it
If we stay up, hes been a part of that and would possibly be looked at by a raft of other clubs

Odd one
