quite simply as per the title, do you fully understand the new offside and handball rules? It used to be pretty simple to me and now it seems every VAR incident I learn something new. Anyone else in the same boat?

It seems to change multiple times per season. I've given up trying to keep track. It's a fairly simple game, there's no need for the rules to a) constantly change and b) not be simple. It's still 22 blokes kicking the ball around a pitch, just like it has been for the last however many decades.

I understand them, but I think both have been getting progressively worse for about 10 years now

Well I obviously don’t after just seeing the explanation offered by Linekar and co.

That is not how I thought offside was decided. I genuinely don’t know what offside is now.

They change it to fit with the top six

he was offside if you take this with comparison of Lunny’s big toe with seven resets

Abraham was offside before the move started when the move started and when the move was completed ....it was Chelsea so it’s a goal

What I did not get: against Chelsea, Bogle once cleared for a corner only because he saw a player behind him which the ball was heading for. That guy was offside but of course he couldn’t take that chance in a split second.

To me that guy is active and offside. Free kick to us.

Was the corner given correctly and why?

World Club final Bayern vs Tigres. Bayern disallowed goal. Bayern player had to get out of the way of the ball, so clearly interfering with play.
Offside. Another few minutes for VAR to clear it up.

I noticed the same. Just another in a long line of poor rule changes to try and incorporate VAR.

Offsides really are pathetic now. It’s no surprise that the officials are struggling.

I was furious, ball is played to the player in an offside position, that player is clearly making a run to receive the pass, defender has NO OPTION but to intercept. Only decision can be Offside. Surely!

I have no idea what the current (i.e. this week's) law is. I've spent the entire season watching games in silence with no commentary or comments being listened to (either because I'm watching some foreign stream or can't stand listening to fake crowd/no crowd backgrounds) so haven't heard any explanations. A simple game with easy to understand laws, which is why it is the worlds most popular sport, is being over complicated, and frankly ruined, by stupid people in charge.
I can honestly say if I was a kid now I wouldn't fall in love with the game as I did back in the Sixties.

This really annoyed me too. It resulted in 3 or 4 mins of sustained Chelsea pressure which they could have scored from. Not right.
