Are there two ways to get out of this horrible league, that is at the right end One by playing attractive football, keeping the ball down:the other by employing giants who are ,prepared to impose themselves on games, and put themselves about, regardless of the standard of football. After all a win's a win however it is obtained
Last season, I understand that we played the former, and the Wendies beat us to the prize by steam roller tactics.
This year the skill level has apparantly dropped for reasons that we are all aware of.
Should we therefore change our style to achieve our objective? Is it a question of horses for courses, and are we being shoved around too much without the ability to countermand this?
It appears we are caught between two stools, we are neither a footballing side, nor are we a physical threat to the 'big boys'
I do wonder if Danny would be prepared to change his methods but I doubt it.

well. trying to be objective, and constructive throughout.

i think it's time to get the carpet, roll up all of our so-called footballers in it, and throw the whole bally lot of em in the river don.

Sirius, I dunno. I really enjoyed last season and our style of play. I let myself believe that we were onto something good under Wilson, regardless of the ultimate disappointing end. We'd thrown off our long ball tag (to us at least), and I loved it. Obviously we lost a load of talent, but I agree, we're now caught between two stools, and we're not particularly good at either. So chuffin frustrating when we've finally got the playmaker in midfield that we've craved for in years. As for tonight, first half was just shocking. 2nd, we played some good stuff, yet ended up with nothing..Sorry, I haven't an answer to your question, but my gut instinct is to still try and play "passing football"

If we can play like we did second half then that's how to play. Just need to shoot more. Forte got to start Tuesday

coventry out passed and moved us.. they didn't resort to hoofball. quite a few times have come and tried to play us at football this year the best being Crewe.. perhaps 'that' is what has caught us out

It's actually pass and move. Our lot don't move.

Except at glacial speed, obviously.

It's true. I once followed Dave Kitson around Meadowhall by following the trail of perfectly smoothed pebbles he left behind.
