I for one dont care if they do or dont!

I luv the fact that no one likes coming to the Lane, and that everyone hates us for getting the west Ham money.

Just wondered what other peoples thoughts were?

couldnt care less

if what the pigs are saying is right and all the neutral fans hate us then good

id rather be a good side who everyone hates than a shit side who think only losing 3-2 to your biggest rivals is some kind of moral victory

I've never really had too much grief from anyone (other than Pigs, Dingles, Toytown, Dirty) when I mention I'm a blade. I've got alot of close friends from all over the place who all support different clubs (Preston, Spurs, Blackpool, Bristol Rovers, Oldham, Carlisle, Fulham amongst others) and I'd say most of them have adopted the Blades as their second club. In fact there's a lad at work from the Gambia who is a Liverpool fan, but often comes with us down BDTBL. It's beautiful hearing "Go on Blades" in a Gambian accent..

Most neutrals couldn't give a flying about either Sheffield club but most neutrals would also say that a trip to Bramall Lane is more intimidating than a trip across town.

Agreed Lenners, i wouldn't have this any other way either!

A few Donney fans i know actually like us more than the unclean. Allot of this is based on there gloating about the past and how many fans they've got.

I would much rather people like us or loathe us than be one of those nothing clubs with no rivalry, no excitement and no passion about whom no-one cares

You mean like Reading!. I have always found people like to talk about football when you mention the Blades. On holiday in Turkey everyone seemed to like us. Could be something to do with CKR. Had a great night in a sports bar watching the Boro match.

No i don't care about what anyone else thinks about us.

I know i'm a Blade and that its always exciting, never dull, be it heartbreak or elation, its brilliant.

Its also brilliant knowing that none of my mates really experience what i do at the Lane and along the likes of london road/eccelsall road etc.

But as mentioned above, i'd rather people have an opinion on us rather than being some kind of plastic club with nothing that makes you different from the rest.

Absolutely. It's such a personal experience standing shoulder to shoulder with fellow Blades whether you know them or not. I live in Norwich now and the passion i feel just walking round Norwich with my Blades shirt on makes me realise what a great and passionate club we are when people speak to me about the no-nonsense attitude we seem to have pinned to us, so, yeh, fuck em all. If no-one like's us who gives a shit.

I love the Blade camaradery (sp).
Went abroad one year to Zante and in one of the bars one night they had a guitarist/singer on.
he was doing requests so me and a mate asked for Annies song.
there were about 100 people on 10 tables in the bar and no one had football shirts on.
4 out of the 10 tables (Including most of ours but for one Wendy fan) started singing GCB.
all the other tabes just looked on in awe at us all singing our hearts out :D

Dont know many people personally who hate our club.

Alot of fans probably have a dislike us purely because we never let the Tevez stuff drop. Even though it seemed like most agreed with us. I can imagine for some fans of football seeing it time after time in the paper must of pissed them off abit. Sort of like how everyone got/is sick to death about hearing about Newcastle and how Ashley is running the place into the ground as if every other football fan in the country could give a fuck.

Agreed. Last friday on London road, in the ground and travelling home it felt great being a Blade. I don't normally wear colours but chose or the occasion to wear Blades t shirt. Felow Blades talking to me offering drinks generally being part of an extended family with a strong connection. Very rewarding as I normally go to games on my own and in the car. I'm knocking on a bit these days and it's great to feel included as a Blade

I don't think many people do hate us - it's just the usual shit being kicked off by disgruntled Wendy fans after Friday.
Now Leeds, everybody hates them and obviously a lot of people hate the bigger teams like Man U, Liverpool etc.
What is there to hate about United? Good stadium, never say die attitude, 'sod the elite' attitude - all the things that real football fans have in common.
In fact I'm sure more local fans hate Wendy for their 'we are a massive club' crap that still comes out of them. Remember how we helped Rotherham? And Donny like us as well.

I'd rather people hated us for the right reasons.

I'd rather they couldn't stand us because we always beat them... absolutely battered them in some cases. I'd rather they couldn't stand us because we out-sing them every time we play them. I'd rather they hated us because we have a lovely ground with a fucking massive telly in it.

This is opposed to hating us because a minority of jumped up little twats try causing trouble wherever they go, in the name of the Blades. Or because we have petty stewards who like to make life difficult for travelling fans. Or because we play boring 0-0 football.

Like many others I don't think that there are many fans out there that really hate us. In fact on my travels (I've lived in Liverpool, Belfast, Melbourne, Dublin and London in the last 6 years) I've found that most people quite like us. Thye see us as a good, old traditional club that are honest and should be in the top flight.

Sure the Tevez affair didn't do us any favours, but I think a lot of clubs sympathised with us. Not only because West Ham should have been docked points, but also because we have been damn unlucky, or just unsuccessful, on so many occasions (relegation in 08 and 94, FA cup semi against Arsenal, 3 play off finals etc etc).

One thing that really does get to me is out lack of media coverage. The Southern media really don't like us and in general the media just often act like we don't exist. Examples this season are: Derby. We stuffed them, they showed the goal (no replay), no highlights, interviewed only Clough. I listened to the Boro game on FiveLive. the commentry was so one sides it was untrue. They spent the whole time talking about Boro getting a breakthrough etc. We were the team that looked more likely to score and nothing. The Guardian the next day was pathetic. It barely mentioned us. All Boro. It's the same week in, week out. I have countless examples about this.

was it you lot who had the zante blades enamel badges ?

Yes, fancy having had 9 straight seasons in the Premier League....

...and fancy ending up with Gary Megson on the back of it! :D

I haven't got a rats ass but couldn't give a toss .

Pigs apart , I don't like or dislike any other club , don't see why anyone else should but if they do .... stop wasting your time ,, no one cares!

I'm totally different, its more than likely because i'm very bitter! ;-) But i'd say i hate 90% of other clubs for one reason or another.

Cant really list them all, and reasons for it as t would take me ages!

I used to be the same.

Hated Clubs due to , players, managers , supporters, shirts , grounds, cities, badges, results against us etc etc .

All much of a muchness nowadays.

Never given a damn if we are not liked as a club, but don't give a damn about other clubs in general...
Growing up in the stocksbridge area 20+ years ago gave me an very healthy dislike of all things blue & white but do i care about them? Not really they are nothing more than another 6 points towards promotion.
