Bobby Robson said he has never forgotten an useful advice from Bertie Mee (manager of Arsenal at the time) which was "If a player, no matter how good he is, is a disruptive influence in the dressing room then try to get rid of him as soon as you can"

Kevin Pietersen's tweet below reminds me of the recent tweets by Marc McNulty and his friends (also his dad) and I think England were right to shut the door on the possibility of Pieterson returning to the side

From what I've heard, NA is having our disruptive bellends, sorry players, train separately just to keep them in shape and make them easier to offload. It's now become a joke between these players to constantly bitch about the rest of the squad and the management via social media and in person so they've pretty much ruled themselves out of getting back into contention and instead consigned themselves to a career in even lower divisions. Being a dickhead gets you nowhere and that's one thing that the club has got bang on.

Thank you and hopefully next season we will have less of bellends in our squad

Luke Wright deals with it another way (and it is him who's affected after all).

Yes, we need more players who have similar attitude as Luke Wright. We have had player fallouts last season and there seems to be similar problems this season so it looks like Adkins is trying to get rid of the problems that has been affecting us for some years. Fans need to understand this

I hope that's exactly what happens to these scumbags. I hope their careers end in absolute obscurity very soon having fucked up the greatest opportunity they ever had.

I despise this team.

Names ? Im guessing McNulty Dijuventus and Freeman ?

We had this rumour of player disruption last year to explain poor results. I think it's a mixture of poor recruitment, poor tactics and to many players who are not quite good enough but it's only an opinion.

But according to Adkins the team spirit is wonderful and everyone is pulling in the same direction. Makes it even harder to understand our abysmal performances and points more at the management than the players for our shortcomings. Seems to me the board have made it clear that for now there's no more money and he's got until the summer to show he is capable of much better.

They are three of them yes. Im not really sure other than them but there is a couple more so I'm told. I have a hunch one of them is Mcgahey but not certain, similar with cal mcfadzean.

Adkins' actual words were everybody will have to be pulling in the right direction. I took this as more of a little dig at the board though.

I wonder if anyone has told Hammond he's not as good as Doyle?

We may have had it last year and its carried on . Clough when it came to discipline was no walkover . Have certain players seen Adkins and his staff a bit of a soft touch with his management style . Give the players a inch and they will take a mile . Players need to take the rap and shit ,, for poor performances / results , not the manager every time .
If certain players thought Adkins was a walkover , then more fool them . Only one winner and it ain't piss poor players in attitude and quality.

Let's get some pride back by having players who want and deserve to wear the shirt

UTB.

Unable to quote him ad verbatim, but on numerous occasions he has very clearly tried to make out there are no problems in the dressing room. The board are right not to provide further funding unless they are confident it is going to be spent wisely, and the signings of Sammons, Woolford and Hammond have obviously set the alarm bells ringing.

Do you really think he'd admit in public to there being problems in the dressing room?

Has any manager done this?

Unfortunately these days the players have all the power until their contracts run out ,so this summer is a massive opportunity to have a mass clear out ,I honestly wouldn't keep anyone not under contract.
This, and transfer windows, is why managers rarely make the instant impact they often used to. A new man could come in at the beginning of November and have half a new team in place by Christmas. Now they have to wait until the JTW at the earliest to make a serious impression, often much longer. Think Liverpool.

I'm just glad Cloughie's "background checks" were done thoroughly. A lot of people have legitimate concerns about Hammond but he may be here as Adkins eyes in the dressing room. Same as Clough's ex Derby lads.

You would have thought that when NC wrote his retained list these disruptive players would have appeared on that list, either transferred or released to solve the problem. Presumably at that time he was confident of being our manager and was making plans for the upcoming season.
