Disorder will not be tolerated in local derby

Agree. This sort of thing goes without saying unless I've missed other statements from the club in the past which say "Bring your knives and knuckledusters for a 10% discount"
Only when on west street when we play the lady pigs (but don't forget your tram radar? As one lady pig did a few years ago much to our amusement :p)

Disorder !!!

I suspect the first corner Bradford send over will result in the arrest of Howard, Mceverley, and Doyle ........
Good job we don't have someone like Trevor Hockey now he wunt get as far as the pitch :D
Wish I could find a clip of tc sorting out Charlie George that time

All us racists and thugs on the kop. How many on here actually go on the kop ? Sure, I was aware of the assault during the Fleetwood game, which actually happened at t'other side from where I sit/stand, but its not really

In all honesty I've heard and seen worse things in the Arnold Laver (?) stand than on the kop. I also never hear racist comments or chanting, perhaps I'm a bit mutt and jeff. It is a bit of a cliché to blame any bad behaviour on us kopites

Looking forward to a bit of a gargle in the Sheffield Tap tomorrow with the Bratfud fans before the match
Seen more trouble this season in the directors box

Oh, I don't deny that.

But apparently a handful of supporters have been banned in recent weeks for their conduct at the Lane so some supporters evidently do need reminding of how they are expected to behave in public.

If people are offended at being treated like fucking idiots, blame the ones who are acting like fucking idiots in the first place.

What did they do, put salad cream on their prawn sandwiches instead of seven islands?

To be fair to the police as a Leeds resident, I can confirm Bradford are certainly on par with Harrogate Railway and Guiseley AFC in the West / North Yorks hoolie notoriety stakes.

One can only imagine the extent of military planning going into the impending match against Chesterfield; I've no doubt tensions are seen to be running sky high between the fans... (yawn)
Their hoolies laughably call themselves the Ointment.

Are they just sorting by Yorkshire? Stockport's probably no further but I doubt they'd refer to that as a derby if we ever drew them in the cup.

I'm surprised to read the comments about racism (has there even been any, or just concerns there might be??). I honestly haven't heard any racist chanting, shouting or even comments from home fans for the past 20-odd years! (IIRC the only time I've heard any abuse at a home game from away fans was the Man City cup game a few years ago). A Bangladeshi mate of mine has been to a load of games, never heard a bad word.

I did once (a long time ago) see a fight break out at the front of the Kop and heard it was because some doughnut was shouting racist abuse at one of our own players, I didn't hear it myself though.

Besides which, I've always had the impression that the BBC is multiracial. Even without that, you'd have to be a bit brave and a bit of a div to loudly proclaim you're a racist around many of our supporters. I think most blades I know would take exception at someone near them shouting something.

"A Bangladeshi mate of mine has been to a load of games, never heard a bad word." - a flawed argument (sorry).

- thats the thing about racists, by now they know not to expose themselves by blatantly abusing someone of another 'race'. I'm a white man and I do hear racist comments regularly, (very rarely directed toward me). I heard Brendan Batson on the wireless quite recently suggesting that racism within football grounds has more or less died out, not true and as a black man, racists wouldn't be so stupid as to start using racist language within his earshot would they?

I bet he doesn't jump in the back seat of a London cab and hear the driver droning on about , 'mosques on every street corner round here' and other nonsense like that.

So thats my point, I'm sure as a white man I hear much more casual racism than a Bengali would, or a black man or even a Japanese etc. etc.......

Sure, I'm not saying I never hear racism (anywhere/ever), I'm just saying that if anything, I've found it far LESS common inside and around Bramall Lane than your average local on any busy night! Quite probably because those who might be willing to air such views are unlikely to widely broadcast it when it the tide could turn against them?

Just a quick alert to SYPD, I spotted a least 10 Bradford fans at Pudsey station. One was drinking a can of lager whilst sat doing his online food shop on his IPhone, another was talking loudly, laughing and visibly in 'high spirits'.

Send up the helicopter, erect the cordon, ALL STEWARDS TO PHASE 5!

No doubt our friends from Durham will be having a trip down to Sheffield tomorrow
Like the miners strike all over again although I suppose Kent is a bit too far to travel for
a game in Sheffield

...and right on cue, as I left the ground yesterday I saw several police vans with 'Durham Constabulary' on them. This is obviously a reciprocal deal - 'You send a bunch of your under-employed idiots a couple of hundred miles to top up their overtime/holiday savings and we'll expect the same.'

The next time one of these 'Chief Constables' is whining on about the 'savage cuts', remember this.

Meanwhile, Madelaine McCann is still 'missing'.

I'm the first to be a little cynical of plod, but fair dues, I thought they were ok yesterday, not as overtly "assertive" as before, The only time I saw officers being more pro-active was when a couple were accompanying some likely-lads (although perhaps a little old to be classed as lads) towards the train station, which can't be much fun on a Saturday afternoon. The two behind stood beside the ladies behind the Kop at half time seemed relaxed. So, just saying, first to criticise, so ought to commend when the opportunity arises.

Far too many about yesterday. They put the crossing in front of the Howard to red about 2.30 pm and loads of those in baseball caps crossed. ridiculous over Policing. meanwhile loads of Bradford fans were walking to the ground mixed in with Blades.

Hope you don't think I have become a Boys-in-Blue Clapper... :)

But as I say, I try to be balanced based on my experiences and as I slag them off no end, I can't close my eyes to the fact that they are, at many levels, there to ensure my family and I enjoy the match day in safety. So it's a shame that they often contribute to making that not the case.

I came down from Leeds on a train full of Bradford fans loaded up with booze.

They were generally quiet and perfectly well behaved with not a copper in sight after one that told them that when they get to Sheffield they are going to the Howard had departed.

Missed out on a nice train journey and some easy overtime there lads
