Did Bolton briefly, during the 2nd half when behind, try to mimic our tactics?

They had a short spell were Beavers went on the right wing and he ended up charging forward as part of a 3 man attack down that side, trying to do one of our trademark overloads.

Bizarrely enough it created one of their few decent goalscoring opportunities.
They didn't try it again though as it took him almost a minute to track back to CB position.

Made me chuckle.

They didn’t hoof it as much as on previous visits, but the tbh they didn’t do that much of anything at all.

It gave the impression they felt only losing two nil was a decent result.

Did they? As I remember it we were better than them, we had the ball a lot more often and we passed it about better. We weren’t great but that was mostly down to their negative tactics i.e putting everyone behind the ball.

As we were both there LJ, we both know that the first half was pants from both teams, however we would have to disagree as to whether we passed it better than them. You are quite right with your last sentence, however, we put things right second half, and I actually enjoyed the last half hour.

For me that shows so much - confidence in his team mate to score, thinking of the team rather than himself and much more. Was chuffed to bits when he scored later on as i think he earned it
