Absolutely comical for so called professional footballers. Hourihane powder puff challenge when he should have cleaned out their man.
Robinson then tries to take out the same player but cleans out RND instead! Robinson gets back but shows Lawrence onto his favourite left foot, absolutely shocking.
They should be embarrassed when they see it again.

The first was much the same.

Three of our players on the corner of the box couldn't put a challenge in as their player literally walked straight through without a hint of a tackle.

That tackle from Hourihane (or lack there of) goes against everything I believe Sheffield United stands for.

Yeah I thought about Wanocks reaction also. Hopefully Hecky and McCall will have given him the mother of all bollocking, doubt it though

Neither Hecky or McCall are like a Warnock.I doubt many in that room could mentally take a Warnock tirade. Sharp, Bash, Egan and Baldock might be the only ones left standing.

Got sick of seeing in the PL,opposition players with about 3 of ours going in a melee to tackle them and their man still has the ball after the melee.Powder puff tackling has been a feature in our game for a while now,we were so far behind physically in the PL it was men against boys on a regular basis, also seeing 2 or 3 of our defenders flat on their backs after diving into a " tackle" in the penalty area and the ball is Inc the net.

I’m not saying they need to be treated like that in the dressing room. I’m saying they need to put 100% effort when representing that badge.

Flaking out of that challenge, does he think his legs are made out of corn flakes or something? Pussy

I might be alone but I thought as bad as Hourihane, Robinson and others were in the 2nd,that it was still a great goal. Avoidable. At this point we never looked like coming back.

The first annoyed me for more. Again Robinson is getting pelters for the 2nd but Bash and Egan were as bad,if not worse on the first as they did not make a challenge and he ghosted past them both so easily.

Not that it makes a deal of difference but Lawrence is (so called) ‘right footed’ 🤔

There’s a fine line between unbelievable individual skill and embarrassing defending.
I wonder what the fulham fans were saying when we were saying Ndiaye goal was GOTS.

1st goal after Basham lost his man, Hourihane tracks back and gives up when Egan gets close.
Egan trips up when Lawrence does a step over and so is beaten. (Tad unlucky for Egan)

The 2nd one Hourihane did shirk out of the challenge, but I think he was maybe worried about getting booked? Still your asking for trouble doing so.
The 2nd becomes comical when J.Robinson takes out our RND!
Then Robinson gets back up and recovers to get back in the box, but is then flat footed.
What annoys me more than J.Robinson taking out our player is how casual RND and Hourihane track back. N'Diaye could also have tracked back but didn't as well.
If one of them did what J.Robinson did in getting back into the box they might have forced Lawrence wide and not given him the opportunity to curl one.

So he is, plays on the left but predominantly right footed.
To be fair to Robbo he did look knackered when he got back and probably didn't have time to think about best way to show him.
He's still crap though

Totally agree why not just take one for the team not anything brutal but block him off or drag him down yellow card simple

Just watched the highlights, my god Hourihane neshes that tackle

Basham waved a leg, Egan got completely done but Hourihane jogging back behind Lawrence and not having the balls to put in a tackle because it's around the box was feeble. He was terrible on both goals.

At least Robinson tried. Took RND out beautifully and then got up and back again.

Their second was a beautiful strike.
It's what happened before the strike that pisses everybody off.

Derby score from this...

Ndiaye swivels and loses the ball to #36

1642434941638.png

Hourihane doesn't win this

1642434993619.png

#36 now has possesion and leaves Ndiaye, Hourihane & RND behind

1642435038772.png

Jacky long throw lunges in and takes out RND, not #36
1642435088370.png

Now #36 is one-on-one with Basham because Jacky has taken out 2/5ths of our defence

1642435154747.png

Bogle hasn't once glanced across to his left, he's watching the ball

1642435213907.png

Bogle finally realises there's a man there and does great to close him down

1642435309378.png

Before deciding to back away from him by 5 yards 😲

1642435361319.png

Jacky long throw does great and gets back to cover Lawrence and will surely show him onto his right foot

1642435456478.png

Nope, shows him onto his left

This can be seen in all it's glory here:

JLT taking out RND in the build up is absolutely fantastic. I've watched it a few times and still find it funny.
It really is hilarious. Got nothing of the ball or their player and completely takes out our own player. It sums up what he is as a player - rash. I don't doubt his commitment or effort, he's just a poor player who dives in too often and never really seems in control in any part of his game. It's hardly a hot take, but he really isn't good enough to be playing at this level.

It was a beautiful strike into top corner though…I don’t have much of a problem with Derby’s goals, it was our overall low energy wank performance that got to me.
Looked slow and lethargic again and hardly ever won any of the second balls. There was acres of space we seems to have no one in.
Berge was a massive disappointment. Ambled around and made zero penetrative runs or passes that I could see.
I think the shape of the team was wrong somehow.
Considering Derby are broker than us we need to go get Lawrence. He’s helluva player.

Maybe so but sometimes we have to hold up our hands & acknowledge a superb finish (particularly with the ‘weak(er) foot)

What’s your point? 😂😂😂😂

Got a sneaky, sinking feeling that Heck will offer Hourihane a contract in the summer, a jobs-for-old-boys act like Madkins with Hammond & Woolford.

Just a gut feeling, nothing ITK. Hope I am wrong 🤞🏽

He's the sort of player, from looking at the training videos, that will make a howler on a Saturday and then still come over as cocky on the Monday.

Maybe that is a good thing from a resilience point of view, but he keeps up his run of giving goals away almost every time he plays. Wolves' first then twice he could had intervened.

Plus, most glaringly of all, he ignores our very own YorkBlade and for that reason alone he should never darken our door again!
