A simple hypothetical question.

How much would you want, if you had two tickets for sale, for next Friday's match?

PIG on their mainboard offering £200 + £50 charitable donation.

From another angle, how much would you go to, cash-wise, to buy... two tickets?

I'd sell at face value.

Pay maybe 50 quid. That said when I went to Germany world cup paid 250 quid for Paraguay match and 150 for Trinidad match. Applied for official tkts didn't get any. Once in a life time. Whereas a derby will come round again.

It's all relative to your wealth but under the circumstances any Pig, or Blade, willing to pay £250 for a derby league game in January is a sandwich short of a picnic.

And I say that as someone who will have seen around 75% of our matches over the last 30 years.

I actually have 2 spare tickets and I’m wondering what to do with them. Both senior citizen season tickets who are on holiday for the match. Understand I can upgrade them to “normal” adult tickets but not sure how much that will cost

It’s a theoretical question for me, but I’ve done everything through the proper channels and had season tickets for the last god knows how many years, and go to a lot more away games than I miss so I’m guaranteed for any game that I want.

If I had a spare ticket for a game that was highly In demand, then i wouldn’t want anything for it if it was on my season ticket, and would only sell that particular ticket for whatever it had cost me, but I would make sure that the right person got it,

Not someone who can’t be arsed going to the matches most of the time, but suddenly decides they are the worlds biggest Blade when a big match comes round,

£16 I would guess. That’s how much it is for a child’s upgraded to adult.

I have a friend who would very much like one if possible.

I'd very much like one, but I've got to fucking work and I can't get out of it, I've tried!! Absolutely hate shifts!

I wouldn't sell them if I couldn't go. I would give them away.

I'd buy at face value

I'd sell for face value plus an admin fee of 1 Bit Coin (at current value today $15k).

That's really kind of you Bruce.
With that type of consideration, it would be a tragedy if you couldn't go and didn't have time to get them to someone else.
Imagine coming down with something at the last minute and the tickets going to waste.
I have an idea that might help.
Let me come and collect them now, and if nothing does happen between now and kick off, you can meet me at the ticket office where I'll be waiting to give them back to you.
PM me your address and I'll be round in about 5 minutes.

I would pay £50. I couldn’t get a ticket cos i got locked out of my account so no loyalty points. £50 waiting for anybody with 1 spare. Yes iam begging now iam that desperate !

Bert has already given two away for free.

Slightly off topic, but is there any chance that the club are negotiating to allow for any more seats to be released; for example the bottom corner of the South Stand?

Am I just being naive in thinking SYP would entertain this conversation? It’d be a shame for people to miss out when there will be >1k seats doing nothing, for no good reason.

It doesn't sound good to Bert either. One of the tickets is his own.
:( Pants Bert. I hope what you're doing instead brings you immeasurably more pleasure than seeing United spank Wednesday 4-0.
If it is, I can only think it might still involve some sort of spanking......and several busty blondes of a legal age ;)

I hope all the generosity only extends to Blades fans who regularly watch the team who didn't get a ticket, rather than someone who doesn't give a monkeys except for the odd big game.

Bert booked a month in the Caribbean before the fixtures came out and of course the inevitable happened.
He does however recall many years ago when he was invited to America to stay at the college of an American friend. The friend said "Those girls will love your accent Bert" Bert declined as he had a very important match to attend, United were favourites and riding high in the division. It was December 1979

Kinell Bert, that's in "No, thanks. Guitar groups are on their way out' territory, when offered an up and coming band called the Beatles!

I'd pay him £200 to take my ticket. It's on H Block and it would be worth every penny.

I haven't got a ticket for Friday and would pay my whole life savings for one. £12.50

I'm not going - £35 in the popcorner can sod off - I'll be watching via fb

When we beat them in December 2005 in was my firms Christmas do. I told them I wasn't going simple as that but as I was the manager I was told that it would be "frowned upon". Regrettably I went to the Christmas do in Leeds.

Put my ticket on ebay, sold it for £90 and arranged to meet the guy to collect the ticket at the cutlers arms. He got out of his car, £90 in hand but couldn't do it to a fellow blade. Gave it him for a tenner I think. Looking back I should have perhaps just gave it him.

Bert is not so coarse.
