There are fewer murders than there were in the past, check the figures. Racism is also in decline, just a shrinking number of very noisy idiots upset because their worldview is out of sync with the majority.

I don’t hear anyone crying over the chant. I do hear crying from those being called out by the decent majority for defending it though.

The amount of violent crimes perpetrated by men against women is a fucking disgrace and common misogynic views shouldn’t be acceptable and they should be called out where they exist. These opinions are held by some men, and there’s far too much of the bollocks like “the worlds going soft” which is given as an excuse for it.
Why do most fans now not sing those lines?

Whilst I agree with your point as a whole, surely you realise referencing a tragic event that happened so close to home, is still so raw and could potentially be personally traumatic to people on this very site may not be the most tasteful way to back up your argument?

That’s a fair point. However the fact we normalise this backward view and think it’s acceptable and somehow weak to challenge it, is wrong.
Clearly I wouldn’t want to cause any upset to those families but there is an ongoing and increasing issue of violence towards women by men and for years it’s been ignored and accepted. Singing about women from a particular town as belonging to the male football fan from the same area is just wrong. As is claiming the fact that “shagging” these women is some sort of victory over the other side. I mean come on, listen to what you’re actually singing.

I should know better at my age but bottom end of BL post match in the midst of Derby fans singing about 'she said no Billy and Billy is a cunt' I started a solo rendition of 'we've got Billy Sharp' to ruffle a few feathers.

I'm a bit of a cunt like that and ought to grow up maybe.
