Transfer deadline day means nothing to me
If any serious business was going to be done it would have been done by now.

We won't pay the going rate for the players that we want, believing that we are right and the entire footballing world is wrong, and that somehow they will all come around to our way of thinking.

So why, on the craziest day of the transfer window would we get involved with anything serious when we'd be held to ransom even more than before ?

Well yes, and no. Burton waited to sell Irvine to buy Brayford, which frees up money for us to buy x or y. If Burton don't buy Brayford, then maybe we make 1 or 2 signings instead of 2 or 3.

Deadline day is stupid, just have to look at ours in 2009 to see that.
