I thought it would be useful to start a thread about Jack Rodwell training with the blades without it being hijacked by any other shit that people want to chat about.

I can't personally see, how a player who played 21 games in the championship for Blackburn and never got picked up by another team would be on our radar but you never know

Probably just geting / keeping fit

He was an England international a few years ago so the potential is somewhat higher than the championship.

Yes had a decent premier league record until 2017. Over 150 appearances. Perhaps I'm just a bit grumpy tonight

Ive no idea if loose lipped postman pat and his mate are correct. And I know little of rodwell apart from what was on the Sunderland amazon doc... but

Between 2016 to 2019, these statements have been made on this forum and others:
lundstram was “crap”
McG was a washed up striker from a related club
Leon Clarke was washed up
Fleck wasn’t good enough for cov
Brentford were glad to be rid of JOC and Egan
Bournemouth had our pants down with Mousset
Sharp wouldn’t do it in the Championship

To name a few...

It's a fair cop guvnor, and I'll take any bird that's coming my way, but I have to say Mr Thornton that the real crime is those people who engage in a blades related thread and send it off on meanderings for pages on end, consigning good intentioned Blades related nonsense tumbling down the threads list. I put it to you sir , that you are very often guilty of said activity.

Very true - but is your point that football fans often get it wrong or that Wilder very often gets it right, or a bit of both

Bit of both. Basically if any player comes into our club I’d give them a very good chance of success, but they have to apply themselves in the correct way.
It’s not to say we’ve not had failures, because we have. We’ve also got players that apply themselves but still can’t make the high standard
