team arrived late, forgot we were playing tonight and set off late according to BM

Surely they travelled down yesterday?

They went down today, on The train!! FFS the train? Is it 1915 or 2015? I bet Spurs don't come up here on the day, they will be up the day before and in a hotel.

Tin pot.

Yeah, what an embarrassing.... post.

The team were in a hotel within 5 miles of the ground. They've been in traffic for over two hours.

You really do take the biscuit.

They are warming up ok in front of me

I have humorous visions of Higdon and co. trying to push a coach through deep snow.

They should have been down there yesterday whatever. Nothing to do with the delayed kick off, I am gobsmacked they have travelled down on the day in this day and age.

What if the train had been snowed off?

Would have suited GMS he didn't want to travel on bus

Why haven't we travelled by Star Trek transporter?

Bloody McCabe

They were travelling from a hotel 5 miles away.

Nice try though.

I have no idea what the traffic problem in north, north east London was last night but it did take my daughter and I over 2 hours to complete a 2 mile round trip to collect my grandson from his nursery - total gridlock on our bit of London and we would have been quicker walking.

M25 was down to 1 lane by Enfield so was queeing back to 23. Having said that, the bit of the North Circular I did last night had hardly any traffic at all and parking was a doddle in the end.

We were walking from Seven Sisters tube at just before 7 and I heard a bloke say "that's our team bus just gone past" . I assumed he was wrong, only to discover he was right.

The traffic was moving freely on the High Road, a distance I now know to be 1.6 mikes, having run it back to avoid missing the last train back from Marylebone to Brum, instead of the planned relaxed stroll.

So, the 5 miles in traffic was actually 3.4 miles max. The bit I don't quite get is why they would use a hotel in Islington, I doubt it had a training pitch.

Look, it was a fuckin great deal on megatrain, tenner a head return! What do you expect them to do, fly down the day before?? Some people, huh!

I'm interested to know why they booked a hotel if, as Harry's Game says, they travelled on the day.

The extravagance!! McCabe out!!

Well after visiting tottenham last night i'm sure you would realise why they wouldn't book a hotel anywhere nearby.

Pre-match meal.

I've served a few in my time.

A bit of lunch and then off to bed for an afternoon nap. A bit like my Grandad used to:-

<< Against QPR, the preparation went absolutely perfectly,” Clough said. “This time, we are due to go down on the train on Wednesday morning. Two hours down to St Pancras, a bit of lunch, in their beds, and then they’re ready for the game. The less thinking time they have about it, the better. >>

I must admit it did seem a bit risky in view of the snow and the weather forecast to be totally reliant on the trains still running..

"The former England forward believes that his team’s more direct approach has proven the undoing of numerous top-flight rivals. “Because we’re a League One side, we pose a different set of problems to what the top clubs face week in, week out,” Clough said. “We play with width, which I don’t think happens an awful lot in the Premier League.”

Wtf!?!?!

Journalistic license..? Passing sideway's is not 'more direct'!! :D
