Defensive midfield at Peterborough

Actually I'd like to see people's preference for this role within the current formation, if you don't mind? There are others who would like us to play 4-4-2 or 3-5-2, but let's say that Clough sticks with the same set up which has one central midfielder anchoring, flanked by two who attacks more when we're on the ball. Like this:

I will do this for you bergen,in the 1 player role of DEFENSIVE midfielder,that player should be Basham,you know,the position he has played in most of his career.

Basham's career stats are 122 games 6 goals,now that isn't,i repeat isn't a box to box midfielder.If cloughy plays him in his specified position then i think we would see him in a better light.

Murphy & Baxter switching regularly. Davies on for Flynn/JCR on 60 minutes (unless either are still regularly creating). Reed on for Doyle if we are struggling to create.

Exactly the same as my team Foxy, start JCR instead of Flynn.

As Wizadry says lets try playing players in their proper positions, this will be a huge stride forward IMO.

I think Basham could be good as DM. He has the attributes and it's where he's mainly played. As for wanting to recall Doyle what did he do against Cov to justify it? because I swear it was him I watching persistently give the ball away when he came on.

As Clough seems to have a hard on for Davies, let's move him inside where his range of passing may be useful. It may also help limit the impact of his lack of mobility, and it might also stop him from just punting the ball towards Higdon as soon as he gets past halfway.

I'm also a big fan of playing players that are fit, my mind was blown when Clough was commenting on Scougs and Fynns form only to then say that Scougs has been carrying an injury and Flynn missed a lot of pre-season with injury. Why the fuck are they playing then, give them a chance FFS.

Why do people insist on putting Mcgahey who also plays right back, on the left and Collins, a left footer on the right ?
