Agree defence not sorted. Another goal conceded from dead ball high cross. Basic lack of defending at near post. Good cross from QPR. Again our corners and crosses from deadball free kicks were useless. Never looked like we would create even a half chance never mind score a goal. Our midfield seemed to run out of steam in 2nd half. They pressed and closed us down and we allowed them to knock the ball about at ease.

And herein lies the problem, Wilder made him captain so is unlikely to drop him this early as it makes him look stupid. It's pretty obvious that our best centre back pairing is going to be Anel and Souttar so get them in next match.

You entitled this thread defence and I think our bigger problem is going to be the full backs. Burrows is quoted as saying he's a wing back not a full back (and it showed today). Gilchrist isn't a natural right back but has been dropped straight into the heat of a championship battle.

Playing a three behind Moore means the only wide protection for the full backs are attackers like Hamer and Brooks which means the full backs have to be defensively sound. Are they? QPR fully exploited that today and so will other's.

Was about to say Burrows did a Luke Thomas impression today.

No surprise that QPR spent most of the second half attacking him and exposing the absolute black hole of space that was frequently between him and Robinson... The fact that Wilder didnt address that was worrying and very Hecky-esque...
