Defence or attack, which is the worst???

I agree that our strikers all have their faults but I don't think you can say that they all can't finish when they've had so little of the ball in recent games let alone chances.[/QUOTE

The strikers are being given a raw deal at the moment and some of the service is shite. I kept an eye on Bogdanovic on saturday and the bloke was all over the pitch. I don't think there was a position he didn't cover apart from goalkeeper. Is there then any wonder he's knackered and struggles to beat his defender when he did get a rare sniff?

On the O/S today: Speed has clearly worked out Ched's problem:

"...When he is running he is OK, but when he kicks the ball something isn't quite right." ;-)

School boy defending today for coventry's goal.

Once one of them commits, the rest don't seem to have a clue what to do.

Taylor closes the man on the ball then the rest half heartedly take up positions/half close down free men without any rhyme or reason and leave gaps.

The goal today was a prime example of crap defending. Taylor followed the man with the ball, nobody covered the space he left wide open, the ball was crossed from space and Nosworthy was out-jumped by a shorter man who was behind him. Until then I thought Nosworthy played pretty well, certainly the best at home, but he undid all his good work with a simple defensive mistake.

It also doesn't help that the attack can't score worth a damn. Of our five recognised strikers two, Cresswell and Ward, have been played as wingers in the past. All change today though when Cresswell became the lone striker in a formation that was ridiculous. How the hell are we going to score from flick-ons off Cresswell if we play 4-5-1?

Our other three strikers are Evans, who is lucky to have scored so many this season because he's rubbish at either three million or a quarter or Yorkshire mix and a jar of pickled onions, Bogdanovic has doen nothing of note when he's had the chance, and Henderson is injured, and looks likely to be best used down at the Bostik factory. Add to that midfielders who are either not as good as they once were, like Quinn, or as much use as an overcoat draped over a hatstand, like Ertl, and we don't have much to work with.
