Two very good debuts from Lafferty and Ebanks-Landell today, Lafferty was slow to start with but grew into the game brilliantly, especially second half and put in some delightful deliveries, including the nonchelant outside of the boot whip for the first goal! Ebanks-Landell looked solid, can't remember him being beaten once on the ground or in the air and had good pace as well!

Hope to see more of the same from them two and if Lavery makes a similar impact we'll be laughing!

Thought they were both "meh" signings at the time if I'm honest, but liked the look of both of them on that first showing. Reckon they'll fit very well into Wilder's "it's all about the team, not the individuals" ethos.

The way I saw it, Laffery helped the shape and was quietly efficient, and Ebanks looks strong and confident.

Got to say I'm liking the Ebanks luxurient beard too - we've been lacking one round here for a couple of weeks.

What I liked about Ebanks-Landell was that, having also played right back, he was also keen to bring the ball out of defence and come forward to support Freeman on the right.

To me this is a big help when playing 3-5-2 because you don't then 'lose' a man being the extra defender just hanging around at the back when you are attacking.

Encouraged by the fact that he's a big beast of a Unit.

The Beard is dead, Long live the Beard!

First part of his double-barrelled surname is Ebanks Ebanks, Ebanks!
The second part of his double-barrelled surname is Landell Landell, Landell!
He has got a beard, a beard, a beard!
And that's the way we like it, we like it, we like it!

Yeah it doesn't quite work the same...
