Was actually very good today. Went about his role very well and made key interceptions and challenges. Hope this this a signs of things to come. Not too sure it will be though.

As a side note, his tackle in the first half was outstanding and the referee did well not to get conned by the play acting (as he did all game to be fair).

Better.

He'd get no complaints from anyone I'd imagine, if he played like that every week. Took responsibility too, directing operations in the latter stages like a Quarterback. And would have been great for him if that thunderbolt of his had have gone in.

Credit to him. Class performance today (as were so many).

Better and if that goal had gone in. I'd like to know how you close it was, couldn't tell from my viewpoint.

The difference today for me regarding Hammond was he, like the rest of the team went about there business 30/40/50 yards further up the pitch, and so it was more proactive, attacking, quicker, and when it broke down we weren't in our own half and under pressure.

I thought he slowed the tempo down a few times today to be brutally honest. It's only a better performance in comparison to his abysmal ones.

I think to be fair the tempo was slowed by a few - McEv was also culpable - I do not think there is one of our players who is comfortable with a one touch pass - it's always, trap and pass - shows lack of quality that runs throughout the whole team.

Ship them all out and start again.

As one of Hammond's biggest critics i'd have to admit i thought he did well today.. possibly MoM.. i even started calling him Dean :D

don't be fooled - do you really want to see a midfield next season of Hammond, Coutts and Flynn?

If that is what I have to watch, then I would end up come October more apathetic than I am now.

Be careful what you wish for...............

I thought Coutts was excellent today

no i'd like to see the lot of them go. they are the source of our problems. they are about as dynamic as a slug racing competition.. Hammond played well today though

Good game and can see how he's been an integral part of promotion winning teams. there he was surrounded by better players where he's been sweeping up and keeping things ticking over, in teams which have been attacking more than defending and winning more than losing. we've been under the cosh, and with players trying to adapt to a new system he's been exposed. The way he's commanded himself under the cringeworthy & over the top reaction from the fans has to be commended but he's not been the man to fill that void at least not this year. With the right players around him he'd be more than confortable next season but we must look for a younger equivalent with more athleticism, he'd be a handy backup but only on correct wages and a years deal.

My thoughts exactly he's a great pro, good trainer who sets the right example.

Adkins will take him if his wages fall in line with what we are willing to pay
I think that's right, but that's been a problem for a decade now - we are willing to pay far too much for what we get.

Great game today though, by him and the team.

Have to agree. But one swallow does not a summer make !

I saw loads of the feckers today, all the way across Wales, North to South.

But you're right, it's still not summer. Well what a bummer. But I can think of a lot worse places to be. I'll get me coat ;)

he was - Though we had 100% endeavour - virtually zero quality, where it mattered.

We over hit so many crosses, it was like Jam was playing again......

Maybe true Fulwood but if Done had stuck to his position instead of being drawn in to the 6 yard box some would have been right on his head, hopefully he will learn from this

He isn't going to get fitter or faster and that's the root of all his problems. Us playing further up the pitch has suited him this last couple of games but he still manages to give away the silly free-kicks. Solid performance from him today, credit to him, but his handful of steady games have not justified his salary for the last 6 months. He should be on the first bus home at the end of the season.
