McCabe comes up with a scheme, 5 million to give DW to go for Promotion this January.

In return, McCabe buys the Freehold of SUFC, he owns Bramall Lane, but he will sell it back to SUFC when SUFC have the Money, much like the Hotel Deal.

That would leave McCabe owning the Hotel, the Forsyth Centre and Bramall Lane.

No deal. I wouldn't invest heavily in the current set up. We need a bit of help, but not at the expense of our soul. Ask me when we've binned most of the current shpwer and the answer might be different.

Not really Dunc, he has split the Hotel and the Forsyth Centre away from SUFC, whats to say Bramall Lane and the Academy wont be next.

He will get rid of the Club, he just needs to keep shrinking the size of it to make it affordable to some unsuspecting doink.

The very mention of the Forsyth centre tickles me. It was always a McCabe thing, despite the noises that rents would fund the wages of future players.

It's the only way he can ever get hold of something to repay the debt we either owe him or we don't depending on how you view loans and share options as being the actions of a businessman (fair enough btw, though the country is rife with saviours loaning clubs oodles, being revered, then wanting it back and taking the ground when - bombe surprise - the coffers are empty) or a fan.

When it happens, bet your bottom one it will be dressed up as freeing the club from the burden of maintemance costs etc.
