And with the greatest respect.......but would you please get a move on?

It's your own fault, but I'm waiting to draw a line under the Preston match experience - so if you'd hurry up and oblige with your report my family would be most grateful that they can then get on with their day!

Thanks in advance !

Should be done in half an hour. Went out for a few beers and a curry last night and did not get in till late so report delayed. Sorry not good enough I know!

Deadbat - I asked you about whether you thought this was a promotion season last week. You said you were unsure. Have events this week changed your mind?

Yes; 9/9 points this week is beyond my wildest dreams and for them lot to get 0/9 is also unbelievable.

Avoid defeat there and win the subsequent 2 home games and we are half way there.

Still this is United we are talking about. Still feel they might beat us next week and then its back alive again.

You can throw Huddersfield throwing a wobbly into the mix too. Never expected us to beat them and then sacking Clarke is just bizarre. I was a bit worried that Warnock would come in, but now he's gone to Leeds. I always saw Huddersfield as more of a threat than the Pigs. At the start of the season I said Huddersfield were the strongest team in the league. Right up to now I have been more worried about them. I don't rate Wednesday and think they have been playing above themselves. You only have to look at their goal difference to see that. Our goal difference suggests we've been beating teams comfortably. Wednesday's low goal difference suggests that they have been scraping through. I am really surprised that they lost 3 out of 3, but feel their current position is more in line with how they have been playing.

It will be interesting to see who Huddersfield appoint. Presumably they will not have time to make them into an automatic pushing team? Maybe not. But, if we can get a result at the Sty next week (I'd take a draw now) and then beat Scunny we are laughing. Huddersfield's have a seemingly straight forward game against Exeter, but then a tricky tie against Stevenage (away).

It will be interesting to see how the league table looks on the 1st of March. It is great that we could actually be pretty much out of sight. Fixtures in March look quite favourable, though they will come thick and fast. Our squad is likely to be tested. Going into March well clear would be lovely though.

We were there for the taking yesterday - the team visibly shrank when McDonald went off and took some time to recover - and yet we still went on to win. That must have given them great belief and, as my son keeps telling me, we're closer to Charlton than Udders & Wendy are to us.
